Congress leader Harish Rawat admitted in AIIMS ICU on Thursday evening. Wife Renuka too admitted today at AIIMS.

The general secretary of All India Congress Committee, incharge of Punjab Congress affairs and former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat has been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of All India Institute of medical Sciences, Delhi. His wife Renuka Rawat has also been admitted in AIIMS today.

Veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat was airlifted from Dehradun in Air Ambulance yesterday evening after his condition deteriorated said Haripal Rawat, joint secretary of Congress party.

At present however his condition is satisfactory with the oxygen level having gone to 95.

It may be recalled that two days ago Harish Rawat, his wife Renuka Rawat and two daughters had been infected with Covid 19 and were quarantined at Dehradun but after some deterioration in health condition both husband and wife have been admitted in Delhi AIIMS though on Thursday and Friday.

Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat is also diabetic and being a comorbidity Covid 19 infected patient and septuagenerian as well, special medical care is required in such cases.

According to Haripal Rawat while in ICU of AIIMS his condition is quite satisfactory with blood pressure n oxygen level under control.

It may be recalled that few days after the chief minister of Uttarakhand was infected with Covid 19, senior Congress leader Harish Rawat and his family too got infected after being testing for Covid 19. His two daughters who too have been infected with Covid 19 are in Dehradun said Rawat. Former chief minister Trivendra Rawat and his wife were also airlifted to Delhi AIIMS from Dehradun last month when they were infected with this dreaded virus. There were relieved after being admitted in Delhi AIIMS for a week or so. Uttarakhand Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj, his wife Amrita Rawat, son amd daughter in law too was infected with Covid 19 and were treated in AIIMS Rishikesh.
