Some glimpses of Dharna of protesting Wrestlers and Manipuri inhabitants at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. Interviewed the Wrestler Bajrang Punia. Yesterday the entire day was witnessed with Bajrang Punia behaving like a celebrity with people from different states like Punjab and Madhya Pradesh posing for photographs asking for selfies and he trying to oblige them. It looked as if the Dharna, was more like a photo session event with one of his secretaries guiding people to take snaps but not to repeat clicks. In a limited Dharna venue Bajrang Punia was seen as the most active wrestler posing for photographs with his fans and also restricting those trying to pose for pictures repeatedly. In between he and other wrestlers were seen asking people to sit down and maintain discipline but all in vain. The cameramen of various channels deputed to capture some outstanding moments had a hard day with no popular politician visiting today and nothing untoward happening. However, the You tubers had their day as usual interviewing the commoners and some supporters of wrestlers in Kurta Pyjamas giving a look of leaders speaking against the WFI , i’s chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh and the government not fulfilling the demands of the protesting women wrestlers who’d brought laurels for the country by winning gold, silver and bronze medals in various international competitions, raising India’s name high. The majority of the protestors and their supporters from Delhi and different parts of the country were criticising the current BJP government for being deaf towards the women wrestlers and standing in favour of the WFI chief n MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh . They were in anger questioning the government while giving bytes to the You tubers as to why the women Wrestlers have not been asked to put their point of view forth by the police and also asked to produce evidences against the guilty WFI chief Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, which clearly states that the Delhi Police is not interested to take any legal action against him despite the FIR having been lodged against him. Most of the protestors and their supporters catagorically said that lodging of FIR against the WFI chief is nothing but just a cover up to misguide the countrymen and nothing else. Conclusively, Jantar Mantar was literary a Cantonment with hundreds of para military forces and Delhi Police personnel stationed at Jantar Mantar to maintain law and order and ensure that no untoward incident happens there. Meanwhile the women wrestlers, men wrestlers and the parents, especially the mothers and sisters of the protesting wrestlers are also sitting with them at the Dharna as supporting hands to protest their daughters at all costs.
