There is an extremely tragic news arriving from Muwaani, in Thalmuaani near Bhandari village under the jurisdiction of Pithoragarh district , Uttarakhand that a max has plunged in a deep gorge here resulting in the most brutal death of six deaths. Though the deaths have officially not been confirmed but the news arriving from the accident spot are revealing it unambiguously. There are shock waves all around in Kumaon, Uttarakhand after hearing this tragic news. It may be recalled that fatal accidents , catastrophic disasters etc have become the order of the day especially during the monsoons where roads are slippery, landslides occur every now and then and movement of traffic becomes utterly inconvenient due the ugly condition of the roads. Not a day is passed when fatal accidents don’t occur. The SDRF and the local police have reached the accidental spots and are trying to retrieve the dead bodies and the injured if any.
Expressing his deep condolences and emotional tribute, former CM Harish Rawat said that the news of the sudden death of eight people due to the Max jeep going from Muwani to Bokta village in Muwani (Thal) area of Pithoragarh district going out of control and falling into the river is very sad.
I convey my condolences to the families of all the deceased.
The government is requested to provide adequate financial assistance to the families of the deceased and proper arrangements should be made for the treatment of the injured and adequate financial assistance should be provided to them for their livelihood.
I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured.
May God give place to all the departed souls in his lotus feet and give strength to their families to bear this great sorrow.
