Sitting annoyed Congress MLA Harjot Komal from Moga joins BJP after Sonu Sood’s sister gets Congress ticket

As the date of polling is nearing in poll bound states, the political leaders of various parties are changing sides on apprehension of losing tickets.

While in Uttar Pradesh lots of former ministers and sitting MLAs under habitual party changer former minister Swami Prasad Maurya have defected to Samajwadi party from Yogi Adityanath government n party and vice versa, in Punjab too a sitting MLA of Congress has joined BJP after his ticket was cut and the sister of celebrated actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood was accorded party ticket from Congress from Moga legislative constituency, where Malvika Sood lives and runs a coaching centre apart from her socio political activities.

The badly annoyed sitting Congress MLA from Moga expressing his anger and Disenchantment Harjot Komal said that he would have have sacrificed his seat for Sonu Sood, had he contested from here without any grudge but could not tolerate the insult and injustice done to him to oblige the sister of a celebrity.

This is totally unjustifiable said the Moga sitting MLA Harjot Komal.

Harjit was admitted to BJP in the presence of the Union minister and observer Punjab Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Punjab BJP chief Ashwani Sharma.

However, Harjot Komal disclosed that he was offered the ticket from another constituency Amargarh but he turned down the offer and instead preferred to join BJP and contest against Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika for injustice done against me said Harjot Komal.

It may be recalled that in an interview to Barkha Dutt, Sonu Sood had admitted that he felt bad for Harjot for losing his seat to his sister.

Annoyed and infuriated Harjot also accused Sonu Sood for misusing the vast amount of money of his foundation donated by foreign sources for political purpose and allegedly funding Congress in Punjab said the ABP report.

It may be recalled that the Punjab CM Charanjeet Singh Channi and State Congress chief Navjyot Singh Sidhu had visited Malvika Sood’s house and enrolled her into Congress’s fold assuring her of Congress ticket from Moga the other day. After her candidature was declared by Congress the sitting MLA from Moga joined BJP giving a jolt to ruling Congress.

The Punjab Congress chief Navjyot Singh Sidhu had termed Malvika’s joining Congress a game changer for the party not only in Moga but on other Congress seats as well lauding the philanthropic activities of Bollywood actor raising the name of Punjab high. However, celebrity actor n samaritan Sonu Sood hadn’t joined Congress and would not be campaigning for the party said Sood.
