SIT arrests two more in fake testing case from Noida related to Haridwar scam

There are reports that the SIT investigation launched by the state government during the tenure of the then chief minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat has started showing results with news floating in that Sharat Pant and Mallika Pant have been arrested from their Noida residence in connection with the testing scam during April Mahakumbh in Haridwar and are likely being brought to Haridwar, Uttarakhand to be produced before the judicial authority. Kindly recall that after lot of media hype especially after registration of lakhs of cases during April in Haridwar and Uttarakhand crossing several lakhs a scam came into controversy about fake testing in which some firms including Lal Chandani Lab based in Central Delhi’s name appearing to have been involved in this fishy and messy affair.

The Haridwar police at Kotwali police station had then registered the case under various sections with state government and the then chief minister taking serious note of this scam ordered for setting up of SIT which after detailed enquiry has arrested Sharat Pant and Mallika Pant. In this context it is pertinent to mention that the SIT has already sent Ashish Vashisht of Delfish Lab Bhiwani behind bars after adequate investigation. Vashisht had been accused of uploading fake statistics regarding Covid testing in the Indian Council of Medical Research Portal. After arresting the partner of Max Society Sharat and Mallika Pant it is believed that the SIT has reached to the final conclusion in the said fake testing probe. Kindly recall that during April Mahakumbh after about more than a lakh people, pilgrims and Haridwar employees engaged in Mahakumbh were infected with Covid 19 in the month of April with state’s figure rising to more than three lakhs it was revealed that few firms were allegedly involved in fake testing at Haridwar, with opposition parties raise lot of hue and cry, compelling the state government tk order a transparent enquiry into the matter.
