SIDHBALI KOTDWAR WON THE FINALS BY 6-5 BAGGING LOSA SUMMER CUP IN THE SOCCER TOURNAMENT
On the occasion of the 13th meet of Lansdowne Old Student Association, Losa Summer Soccer Cup was organized at Dias Stadium GRRC Lansdowne in which 6 teams of the district participated, Mr. Ajay Satija, President Hotel Sang Lansdowne and special guests were present as the chief guest in the inaugural match. Guest Mr. Suresh Pandey started the game after getting introduced to the players.
Lansdowne Lions defeated Charlie Company team 3-0 and Kendriya Vidyalaya Lansdowne entered the semi-finals by defeating Stadium Trainees Kotdwar 1-0. In the first semi-final, Shri Siddhabali Club Kotdwar entered the final by defeating Lansdowne Lions 3-1, thanks to the hat-trick of Lieutenant Vishnu Prasad Chamoli, while in the second semi-final, Kendriya Vidyalaya Lansdowne defeated Jaihari Khal 2-0 and reached the final.
The final match was inaugurated by senior journalist Mr. Sunil Negi. The game remained tied at 2-2 till the stipulated time. In the tie breaker, thanks to the goal saving effort of goalkeeper Akshat Rawat, Siddhabali Club won the final 6-5 and captured the trophy. Aditya Zakhmola was declared as a promising defender, Vinay Joshi as a promising forward and Karan as a promising midfielder.
The winning and runner up players were rewarded with medals and trophies from the lotus flowers of Shri Vivek Singh Executive Engineering, PWD Lansdowne. The roles of judges were played by Ananya Dhasmana, Hrithik Negi and Indra Rawat.
Sports lover and promoter Ajay Satija and renowned entrepreneur Mr. Suresh Pandey inaugurated the LOSA Summer Cup Tournament on 9th June at the Army Ground, Lansdowne.
