Shuttler PV Sindhu wins bronze bringing India’s, tally of medals to two, President n PM congratulate her

The prominent Indian shuttler and winner of silver medal in Olympics earlier as well, PV Sindhu has raised India’s, flag high again today by winning the Bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics now enhancing the Indian medal tally to two, the very first silver medal win on the very first day of Olympics by none other than Manipur Girl Mirabai Chaani. Shuttler Sindhu defeated China’s He Bing Jehao in straight games to accompany the second consecutive medal for India with India’s men hockey team also defeating great Britain to set up semi final clash with Belgium men’s hockey team.

The president of India Ram Nath Kovind and prime minister Narendra Modi congratulated PV Sindhu on her victory .

The president Kovind while congratulating her on this outstanding victory said that she has set a new yardstick of consistency, dedication and excellence. the prime minister Narendra Modi in his congratulatory tweet termed PV Sindhu as India’s, pride for winning Bronze medal for the nation in Tokyo Olympics.

He tweeted : We are elated by the steller performance by PV Sandhu. Congratulations to her on winning the Bronze @Tokyo2020. She is India’s, pride and one of the most outstanding Olympians.

Kindly recall that two medals won so far in Tokyo Olympics, one Silver in weight lifting and another in Badminton have been won by both women players elevating India’s, image globally.

The entire nation is in rejoicing mode with the sports fraternity in India too, jubilant after Shuttler Sindhu’s bronze medal victory in Tokyo Olympics.

Expressing her happiness P. V. Sindhu thanked her South Korean Coach Park Tae Sang, for taking so much of pain, the BAI, government, her supporters n all who raised her spirits high. Thanking the media as, well, PV Sandhu said that she is happy to learn that she is the first woman Olympian to have won two executive medals, Silver n Bronze in Badminton at Olympics.

Her South Korean coach expressing his happiness over Sindhu’s outstanding victory congratulated her saying that he had to take lot of pain while training her but am happy that she brought Bronze medal for the country. I motivated her a lot he, added.
