PANJIM (Goa): The short film, ‘Misty’, was showcased to a packed and full house, at the NFDC’s Film Bazaar, during the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa on 24th November.
According to the Director of the movie Raja Chatterjee ‘Misty’ has been written and directed by Raja Chatterjee, produced by Sakshi Shail, and Shahnaab Alam, the powerhouse co-producer, with earlier producing credits in films like, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Dubai Return’, ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Ugly’, ‘Monsoon Shootout’, ‘D-Day’ and ‘Omerta’.
A special shout-out to the legendary actor Adil Hussain, whose voice-over added another layer of depth and emotion to the film, and truly brought the story to life. His endorsement has been invaluable for the film.
The response has been overwhelming, as the film left the audiences awestruck with its powerful narrative, breathtakingly captured by Cinematographer Shreya Gupta, and lined up by Editor Arghyakamal Mitra, with a soul-stirring background score by Raja Narayan Deb. And a special highlight was the song ‘Jodi’, by Naaz Sultana, the talented composer and singer from Assam. The song played a pivotal role in enhancing the film’s emotional depth.
The evocative narrative and powerful visuals of ‘Misty’ provoked deep thoughts and conversations, leaving a lasting impression on the audiences.
Industry veterans, Producers, and Distributors, both domestic and international, including the Australian Producers, Richard Jameson and Jodie Bell, who applauded the film for its remarkable storytelling and cinematographic excellence, in the presence of Nitin Upadhyaya, Joint CEO of Uttarakhand Film Development Council.
Doon based writer Savitri Narayanan (now settled in Goa), natives of Uttarakhand Capt Himanshu Dhulia (Retd) and his wife Jolly, writer-filmmaker Rahul Pande and his wife Manisha Joshi of Equilibrium Films, hotelier Aditya Vikram Shastri, UFDC’s Tarun Pandey and Suresh Chandra Bhatt were also present amongst others.
The performances of the talented cast, Satish Sharma, Avantika Shetty, Nitish Rawat and Radhika Joshi have also been celebrated, with audiences showering praise on the actors for their performances, filled with raw emotion and authenticity.
Their performances have left an indelible mark, proving that great cinema is made not just with words and visuals, but with the heart and soul of the actors.
This recognition at IFFI and NFDC Film Bazaar is a testament to the hard work and passion poured into this film.

The film is already selected for the prestigious Phare International Film Festival, Mauritius, and we are expecting more screenings at the prestigious international platforms before releasing it on OTT, Chatterjee added.
