Shatrughan Sinha contesting on TMC ticket from Asansol n Babul from Balleygunge by elections

Popular film actor, who earlier lost to the first superstar of Bollywood Rajesh Khanna in 1993, former union health minister during Vajpayee’s tenure as PM losing from Patna seat as MP on Congress ticket Shatrughan Sinha will now be a Trinamool Congress candidate from Asansol, parliamentary constituency of West Bengal. Another Bollywood singer turn former union. Minister Babul Supriyo, who had joined TMC after being shunted from Ministership is contesting from Ballegunj assbly constituency. Both this announcements were made by the the West Bengal CM Mamata Bannerjee today through her tweets. She wrote : Happy to announce on behalf of the All India Trinamool Congress that Shri Shatrughan Sinha, former union minister and famed actor, will be our candidate in Lok Sabha by-election from Asansol. In another tweet she wrote : Babul Supriyo, former union minister and noted singer, will be our candidate in Lok Sabha by-election from Balleygunge. Jai Hind, Jai Bangla, Jai Ma-Mati – Manush tweeted Bengal CM.

Kindly recall that the poll for a single parliamentary seat of Asansol and four assembly by elections of West Bengal viz Balleygung, West Bengal, Khairagarh, Chattisgarh, Bochachan, Bihar and Kolhapur, Maharashtra will ne held on 12 th April, the notification for which will be issued on March 17 and counting to held on April 16.
