Severe cloudburst in Chamoli leads to eleven residential houses destroyed with a cowshed perished including motor roads non functional in Nand Nagar block

After the Dharali cloud burst massive tragedy few days ago, another massive cloud burst took place in Chamoli’s Nand Nagar block today leading to widespread devastation.

As a result the rivulets and rivers have been over flooded and the ravishing flash floods have massively damaged the agricultural fields wiping them out including the crops making the already poor farmers and villagers completely bankrupt.

According to an information about eleven residential buildings and one cowshed has been destroyed though this is the early news, what happened afterwards will be ascertained by the state administration.

According to the latest news the situation after the cloudburst was so rapid and expeditiously fast that the residents who had come under its impact rushed out without anything with them, as everything happened just in seconds.

The people climbed over the roof of the houses for safety within no time after water of the ravishing floods entered fully in their residences.

According to the version of the district management office the excessive rains resulted in the Sirpakh stream in the Mok Mala’s Bagag Tok area to swell further leading to alarming rise in the water levels in Moksh Gad impacting Dhurma, Sera and Mok Malla’s Bagad Tok.

Since the cloudburst happened in early morning and was extremely expeditious the residents ran helter snd shelter for safety with people climbing the roof tops.

The heavy rainfall and the excessive water resulted in damage of roads majorly including severely disrupting the connectivity in the region.

The Nand Nagar block’s motorable road have been completely damaged and therefore blocked and so was Nandanagar Bhenti motor road.

Not only this but several other roads in Nandanagar have been badly impacted with traffic stopped.

The District magistrate Sandeep Tiwari on acknowledging the information sent teams to rescue people who are affected and the Sub Divisional magistrate R.K.Pandey conducted the inspection of the affected areas.

It has been confirmed officially that a cowshed in Dhurma village has been completely destroyed in the ravishing floods and Eleven residential buildings damaged completely with Sera village becoming vulnerable.
