Several bear attacks in the month of November in Garhwal in Pauri, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts

The deadly incidents of wild bear attacks as well as the maneater leopard tiger attacks on humans in Garhwal, Uttarakhand are on the increase with panic all around and even schools closed fearing attacks on children.

A fresh incident of an attack on a woman in BIRONKHAL block has been reported whose entire face have been terribly hurt profusely bleeding.

The brave woman fought with the bear courageously and saved her from the clutches of the bear with villagers reaching at the spot in the jungle.

The incidents of bear attacks have increased tremendously with several taking place in Pauri, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts.

Majority of bear attacks have been on the village women having gone to collect fodder for the domestic animals or while working in agricultural fields.

Majority of these bear attacks take place during winter season as the bear come downwards from higher altitudes due to snow in search of food and on finding the human beings, attack them.

What is worst in these attacks is that in Pokhra block seven women were attacked and similarly in Jaunsar Bhabar region in Dehradun district a 45 year old woman was attacked while she had gone to collect fodder.

Seven women were injured in a bear attack while collecting grass in the Badaani beat of the reserve forest area in the Jakholi block of Rudraprayag district.

One women who was severely injured had to be admitted to the district hospital.

A young village woman namely Ambika Aswal became the deadly victims of the wild bear and died after being brutally injured sucumbing to her grievous injuries after she had fallen down from a mountain in panic namely Heena in Bhatwari area of Uttarkashi, Garhwal, Uttarakhand.

Similarly another woman namely Ruchi Devi, merely 38 years old has been attacked by a wild bear and her cub for which she was admitted in the nearby hospital.

on Sunday and original resident of gram Sabha Sagwada in Tharali , Chamoli district of Garhwal working in Tehsildar office was attacked by the wild bear on his head with the victim Mr. Bisht profusely bleeding after he fell down unconscious for to the wild bears attacks.

He made tremendous noise and tried hard to get rid of the wild bear. He was brave and fortunate enough to free himself from the deadly clutches of the bear badly wounded in the head and eye with blood oozing out profusely. The matter was reported to the police and the forest wild life department for necessary action to target the besr either to tranquilize it or cage it , whichever is convenient.
