Senior Uttarakhand BJP leader demands CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari case and says those who’s name is allegedly coming up as VIP should resign on moral grounds

The senior Uttarakhand BJP leader and former chairman of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee Ajendra Ajay has taken a different posture away from party line demanding CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari case in view of the latest developments and subsequent political ramifications after the name of the alleged VIP appeared in an audio clip going viral in social media and all the news channels revealed by an actress , BJP activist and alleged wife of the former MLA of BJP Suresh Rathore. This is perhaps the first senior leader of the party in Uttarakhand who has emphatically demanded a CBI enquiry into Ankita Bhandari case whereas since 2022 despite hundreds of protest demonstrations even the Uttrakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has not recommended this most sensitive case for CBI probe. Though the senior BJP leader in Uttarakhand Ajendra has strongly accused the Congress party for politicising this sensitive issue and trying to derive political capital out of it, the BJP leader blamed even the state BJP chief Mahendra Bhatt for bringing this sensitive issue on caste and community line giving it a backward and Brahmin twist which according to Ajendra Ajay is an irresponsible statement which may prove disastrous for the society and may distort the social harmony. He desisted the state BJP chief Mahendra Bhatt from issuing such derogatory statements which may harm the party. BJP leader Ajendra Ajay also suggested that those leaders whose name is appearing in this case should outrightly resign in moral grounds to prove their innocence. Kindly recall that prior to this the two women BJ P leaders and elected Zika Punchayati members have resigned from the primary membership of the party . Kiran Sharma and Aartee Gaur. Kiran Sharma has in her protest note said that despite the party leader’s name appearing as VIP all the leaders are mum and rather busy is congratulating him on his birthday. This has shaken me from inside. I hereby tender my resignation in protest from the primary membership of the party which didn’t have respect for women wrote Kiran Sharma, former BJP mner and leader.
Meanwhile another BJP former lawmaker of Uttarakhand Vijaya Barthwal has demanded CBI enquiry in Ankita Bhandari case saying that she is badly disturbed and shaken from inside and demand an impartial CBI probe punishing stringently however powerful that person may be. This is how in BJP the women leaders are gradually coming forth to raise their voice against the culprits of Ankita bhandari including the VIP.
