Senior journalist of Rishikesh Yogesh Dimri attacked by Liquor Mafia admitted at AIIMS

It’s really shocking that even after the 43 sacrifices to achieve Uttarakhand, brave journalists who are exposing corruption and mafias involved in various illegal activities in the Himalayan state , considered to be the land of abode of Gods are being attacked and grievously injured to discourage them so that their criminal and corrupt activities are allowed to continue. At Rishikesh a senior journalist and a well circulated local newspaper’s editor Yogesh Dimri has become the victim of the Liquor Mafia in the holy township called Rishikesh. According to the latest news the liquor mafia has so badly and grievously injured the brave journalist exposing the illegal deeds of the mafia that he has to be admitted in unconcious state with serious head injury in Rishikesh’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital. There is no message of concern or condemning the incident from any ruling or opposition party VIP in this regard on social media which is indeed a matter of immense concern, especially the ruling BJP. If a protector of the fourth pillar of Indian constitution and Parliament is injured so grievously on head likely to almost die to expose the illegal and corrupt deeds of liquor mafia what makes everyone worried is the fact that our so called ruling or opposition party lawmakers has no time or concern to write few lines in social media Facebook or Twitter. It may be recalled that senior journalist and the editor or Aanwla newspaper published from Rishikesh Yogesh Dimri has been continuously highlighting the illegal activities of the “Sharab Mafia” of Rishikesh in order to bring the arbitrary activities of illicit liquor mafia to the knowledge of the law enforcing agencies, the excise department and the police, who are allegedly hand in globe with them, unfortunately. What is surprising and shocking is the fact that the concerned department instead of taking stringent action against the liquor mafia had given them enough opportunity to attack the Liquor mafia which is infact a shocking example of murder of constitutional democracy. The condition of senior journalist admitted in Rishikesh AIIMS is so tragic and worrisome that it calls of immediate intervention of the chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami and the DGP Uttarakhand to take immediate legal stringent action against the the culprits bringing them to justice under the stringent relevant sections of the new law of the central government. # Justice delayed is justice denied#. According to the former IPS and former DGP Kerala K. S. Jangpangi – Uttarakhand is on the cusp of mafia Raj with protection of local politicians. It’s the mafia under the protection of the BJP that is ruling the roost in Uttarakhand said former DGP Kerala K.S. Jangpangi. The renowned social activist of Uttarakhand and founder of SDC Anoop Nautiyal has while expressing his serious concern over the attack on a journalist of Rishikesh Yogesh Dimri said in his social media handle X : This morning #Uttarakhand Yogesh Dimri, who raised his voice against the liquor mafia, was attacked in Rishikesh. A few hours later, a jeweler’s shop in Haridwar was robbed of Rs 5 crore. This is an attack on the government, the system, the society, the police. This is not the time to show fake anger, but to end this scourge with strength. The organising secretary of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal and journalist Ashutosh Negi met Yogesh Dimri , journalist at AIIMS and met him personally thanking Almighty that his life is saved despite being so grievously injured in the head by the liquor mafia. The Rishikesh police has arrested one of the main culprits of this attack known as Sunil Ganje. Another outspoken journalist of Uttarakhand running his leading channel Devbhoomi , earlier with Rajya SabhaTV Ramesh Bhatt also condemned this incident in strongest possible terms and wrote on X in Hindi : Illicit liquor trade is going on fearlessly in the spiritual capital of the country . When journalist Yogesh Dimri raised his voice, he was attacked with lethal weapons. The accused have been identified in the video, even after 24 hours of the incident, the attackers are still at large. The police must answer some questions. Under whose protection is the illegal liquor trade flourishing? Why are the criminals’ morale so high? Why are the criminals still at large? he asked before the arrest of one of the main culprits Sunil Ganje by the Rishikesh police.@uttarakhandcops
