Senior Congress leader Manish Tiwari lashes out at Harish Rawat tweeting guttural language was used n leaders squabbled in the open making mockey of Punjab Congress while he was incharge Punjab
The crisis in Punjab Congress is not subsiding despite the fact that controversial state president Navjyot Singh Sidhu’s resignation has been revoked, captain Amrinder Singh replaced with a new CM with Dalit background Charanjit Singh Channi and above all, the request of the Congress general secretary, n Punjab incharge Harish Rawat accepted by High command relieving him of the said important post.
The new controversy erupted pertains to the reference made by Harish Rawat in his interview with Financial times about Congress leader n senior advocate Manish Tiwari which hit him in the heart to the core. This led to Manish Tiwari lashing at veteran Congress leader Harish Tiwari through his tweet blaming him for the chaos created in Punjab and using guttural languages by squabbling leaders etc. In a series of tweets senior vociferous Congress leader and advocate supreme Court Manish Tiwari wrote : Respected @harishrawatcmukji Since you referred to me in this interview I have great regard n respect for you going back to days when I headed @nsui and you @CongressSewadal.
However, in my forty years plus in @INCIndia, I have never seen such a choas and anarchy what is playing out in @INC Punjab today. Repeated open defiance of AICC by the PCC president, colleagues squabbling with each other publicly like children. Guttural language against each other that even fish wives would not use wrote Manish Tiwari further adding that for the past five months @ INCPunjab Vs INC Punjab. He questions Rawat : Do you think people of Punjab are not disgusted by this, daily soap opera ?
He adds : Irony is that those who complained loudest of transgressions and aberrations were unfortunately and continue to be the worst offenders themselves. Reminding Rawat he further wrote that history would record that the appointment of the committee that ostensibly heard perceived and real grievances was a serious error of judgement. He questioned again : Where are the progress on the issues that agitated these MLAs and other eminences Bargari, Drugs, Power PPAs, illegal sand minings ostensibly pointing towards the MLA appointed minister, allegedly involved in the sand mining case.
Had there been any movement forward questioned Manish Tiwari in series of his tweets addressed to for national general secretary of AICC n then Incharge Punjab.
It may be recalled that in an interview given to Financial Express, former national general secretary In charge AICC Harish Rawat has catagorically lauded both the Punjab Congress president Navjyot Singh Sidhu and the newly appointed state CM from Dalit community saying that both of them are the best choice for Punjab having good tuning and relationship between both of them and referred to Manish Tiwari in one of the answers which the latter took it at heart as his insult thereby responding strongly through his tweet highlighting the chaos and disgusting squabbles within Congress leaders like children fighting when Harish Rawat was the Punjab Congress incharge. He even went to the extent of saying that guttural languages were used by the fighting leaders making it a daily soap opera disgusting one and all. This lashing of senior Congress leader by another Congress leader Manish Tiwari on social media platform undoubtedly sends a string message across that still all is not well in the oldest party of the country already in mess.
It may be recalled that Harish Rawat on his request has been relieved of the Punjab incharge ship as well as the national general secretary of Congress si that he could fully concentrate in Uttarakhand in his capacity as the chairman of the Uttarakhand election campaign Committee. Rawat is fully concentrating himself in the party’s campaign in Uttarakhand with his eye on the chief ministers post having already finished his arch political rivals to the core by not only sending all his opponents in BJP in 2017 but also sidelining his immediate rival Pritam Singh Chouhan n appointing his protege as the new state president namely Ganesh Godiyal who was once the protege of Satpal Maharaj.
