  1. In Uttarakhand , deforestation is on rising. Nexus between politicians and land grabbers is responsible and in between timber mafia is also getting its share. I wrote earlier also that corrupt forest officials are also helping deforestation. Hence the actual area of the forest as on paper is not on the ground. Political leadership survives on such activities . Environmentalists also maintain silence after accepting one or ir two awards. Then on finding a crisis for food and shelter , wild animals invade human settlements and kill the inhabitants outside their home or inside their home or on way . I live in a deep forest and I know the difficulty of these wild anuimals due to careless forest management by officials. Forest fires are being staged all over Uttarakhand and every possible anti-forest attitude is encouraged by those who are responsible. Good people are being ignored and sidelined and then silenced thru intimidation and violence. Things would certainly worsen ahead as I had said last year while talking to the Editor of this news web portal .
