SC adjourn the NEET -UG hearing to Thursday on 15 July to elicit the response of petitioners on affidavit filed by the govt not to cancel NEET exams

The three judge bench of Supreme Court today adjourned the hearing on the NEET UG cancellation to Thursday , 15 th July against the petition filed by the fifty student petitioners after the exam of NEET UG held in May 5, demanding its outright cancellation n Re NEET exams in view of the NEET paper leaks.

The Supreme Court has postponed the decision on the petition filed by a group of students to 15 th July in order to elicit the response of the former against ( on) the affidavits filed by the union education ministry and the National Testing Agency urging the SC not to cancel the NEET UG examinations as the leaks have happened in few centres n allegedly managed and in case the NEET UG exams are cancelled the academic future of lakhs of medical students will be jeopardised amounting to their betrayal as they had brought good results after tremendous preparations and dedicated efforts.

Initially the SC was giving the date of 15 th July but since the Attorney General Tushar Mehta has pleaded that he and the Attorney general would not be in Delhi, the SC fixed the date for 15 th July.

Kindly recall that the three judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising of the chief justice of India D.Y.Chabdrachud , Justice Padriwala and Justice Mishra had on 8 th July categorically while postponing its hearing for today had said that it needs to seek detailed information from the union education ministry and the National Testing Agency the volume of the NEET paper leaks n whether it has affected or not the aspirants when had appeared in the exams to such an extent that it warrants to the cancellation of the NEET exams held in May 5 and subsequent Re NEET , though in their affidavit the Union Education ministry n NTA have outrightly rejected the proposal of the petitioner to cancel the NEET exams n subsequent Re NEET exams saying that it will be the betrayal with thousands of aspirants who had worked hard n prepared themselves extensively n brought good marks through their transparent hard works n dedicated preparations. There had been several protest demonstrations at Shastri Bhawan, the central office if the Education ministry where the Education MINISTER MR. PRADHAN OPERATES from. The protests were also held at his residence. The protestors from IYC, NSUI, Chatra Sabha , left youth n students organisation like AISF and SFI demonstrated demanding resignation of the union education minister and CBI probe into the mater to which the union government agreed by bringing in the India’s premier investigating agency CBI.
