Salman Khurshid and Congress in a dock after release of his book SUNRISE OVER AYODHYA for objectionable references

The controversy over the book of former union minister Salman Khurshid titled Sunrise over Ayodhya : Nationhood in our times is not subsiding as BJP leaders are up on their feet to condemn him and various Congress leaders for their more damaging remarks one being senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi allegedly comparing those chanting, “Jai Shree Ram Slogans”, as Rakshas ( Demons) representing evil forces. The book of Salman Khurshid was released yesterday and Congress leaders, former union ministers n former general secretary of AICC Digvijay Singh released it.

They too spoke against RSS n BJP as usual in their respective speeches. While former union finance minister P. Chidambaram in his speech said that the jurisprudential basis of the Ayodhya judgement is very narrow but due to the passage of time both side accepted it, the former Madhya Pradesh CM n general secretary of AICC said Savarkar was against pronouncing Cow as Cow mother and that the word Hindu has nothing to do with Hindu religion and traditions of Sanatan Dharam. He catagorically asked in his speech when Mughals ruled over India for 500 years and Christians for 150 years the Hindu religion was never tempered with then, now, what is the threat to Hindu religion.

However, the main reason for the controversy that erupted after the release of the book of Salman Khurshid is in one of its pages, out of total 300 pages, the Hindutwa has been compared with Boko Haram and ISIS raising political storm in the BJP, with its leaders standing on their toes to condemn the book creating tremendous controversy.

However, even a senior Congress leader and former union minister and former general secretary of AICC Ghulam Nabi Azad has openly come out against this reference in Salman Khushid’s book catagorically condemning it saying that we may not agree with Hindutwa as a political ideology distinct from the composite culture of Hinduism, but comparing Hindutwa with ISIS and Islamic jihadist is factually wrong and exaggeration.

The former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi while targeting RSS and BJP said today there are two ideologies in our country, one controlled n commanded by RSS which is spreading hatred and another by Congress, a symbol of love and harmony. He said while the icon of RSS is Savarkar and the Congress party is inspired by father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.

He said Hindutwa and Hinduism are different from each other.

Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government has declared that the book of Salman Khurshid will be banned in Madhya Pradesh.

In a tweet the MP minister Narottam Mishra said that the book authored by Salman Khurshid is a deliberate attempt to create a controversy.

They supported the politics of appeasement.

According to him quoting ANI tweet, Congress leaders and Gandhi family are the supporters of Tukde Tukde gang. They want the country to be divided on caste lines said Narotam Mishra,
Madhya Pradesh minister.

It may be recalled that elections in five states are to be held next year and this controversy on the book of Salman Khurshid may cost Congress dearly say political analysts in which the Hindus have been allegedly compared with Boka Haram and ISIS.

Kindly recall that Boko Haram is a fundamentalist terrorist organisation born in Nigeria, which has from the year 2009 till date massacred about 3.5 lakh innocent people in Nigeria.

About thirty lakh people have taken refuge in other countries of the world. This terrorist organisation is considered to be the worst terrorist outfit infamous for immense torture, massacre and cruelty.

On the other hand ISIS is infamous for massive killings and massacre from Syria to Iraq. In order to counter and destroy ISIS, American and NATO troops have bombarded their places n headquarter and the war seems to be still going on.

By equating hard core Hindus or hindutwa with ISIS and Boko Haram the book of Salman Khurshid has come into massive controversy with RSS n BJP leaving no stone unturned to counter Congress vehemently. The BJP leaders have even asked Congress president Sonia Gandhi to sack these leaders immediately and seek public apology.

Responding to the question of a journalist over the controversy, author of the book, former union minister said if one reaches to any conclusion by just reading a page not going through rest of 300 Pages of the book, then what can I do. They are free to take action against me. An FIR has already been registered against him in this regard in Delhi say news reports.

Speaking to Asia News International Salman Khurshid while clarifying his position on the book authored by him, he said my book is primarily to unify the Muslims and Hindus. It’s actual purpose is to make people understand that the decision of the supreme Court in the Ayodhya case was the good verdict. Let’s all come together. Those who misuse the religion, should be outrightly rejected. He added that those in active politics are apprehensive that this book will reveal the entire truth in front of everyone said Khurshid while speaking to journalists.
