Saffron party in Uttarakhand on back foot after the recruitment n cheating scam followed by tragic Ankita murder case in which its leader n a son of ex state minister were trapped !

After the saffron party repeated its rule in Uttarakhand for the second time in 2022 defeating Congress at the hustings and similarly the present CM Pushkar Singh Dhami too repeating as CM, Uttarakhand has been been rocked by two major issues that brought BJP on the defensive mode with its central leaders completely mum who used to accuse Congress for allegedly assuring minorities to construct muslim university if it comes to power. Sounds shocking n astonishing. First the massive recruitment, leaked paper and cheating scam in UKSSSC was divulged creating a thunderstorm in state’s politics , especially irritating and angering thousands of unemployed youths longing for jobs – in which its mastermind was involved being a district Punchayat member from Tehri, Garhwal and a committed BJP leader, followed by a Vidhan Sabha recruitment scam allegedly involving the former speaker n Congressman Govind Singh Kunjwal and BJP’s minister and former speaker Prem Aggrawal etc. So far more than forty five scamsters have been arrested by state STF and the Vidhan Sabha, speaker Ritu Khanduri, a woman of guts n gumption revoking all the 264 appointments that materialised during the tenures of aforesaid speakers including arbitrarily appointing their sons n daughter in laws.

As if this scam was not enough, the state witnessed a most tragic murder of a 19 year old girl working as receptionist in Anantara resort owned by none other than the lleged murderer, son of a former BJP state rank minister and and brother presently vice chairman of state OBC, both hard core RSSites and BJP leaders highly connected.

However, they have now been relieved of their official positions and expelled from the party.

Today, entire Uttarakhand is in a movement mode and protest demonstrations, torch light processions and candle marches are being organised demanding capital punishment for the culprits including hefty monetary compensation of Rs 1 to 2 crores and a government job for next of the kin by angered n infuriated people from all sections of the society.

What is surprising and shocking is the fact that in both these mis happenings – one absolutely gruesome n tragic, bringing bad name to the ruling party and two, blots of alleged corruption and obnoxious acts at the centre and state, the culprits are from the saffron party this bringing it on a major defensive mode which till yesterday was extremely offensive.

Reminding one and all of the 2012 outrageous gangrape and gruesome murder of a paramedic “Damini”, in a Vasant Vihar running bus case and a gruesome murder after gang rape of Damini of Najafgarh ( a girl from Garhwal) , the brutal murder of innocent 19 year old Ankita Bhandari has literally shaken every citizen of Uttarakhand who are in no mood to relent demanding capital punishment to the culprits and pledging to teach the ruling political dispensation a befitting lesson.

However, the case has now been given to SIT and the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured for its trial through fast track court with DIG Uttarakhand police Ashok Kumar assuring to get capital punishment to the culprits.

If elections are held in Uttarakhand these days the BJP will lose it not only badly but several senior leaders may lose their security deposits reveal political analysts.

The way recruitment, leaked paper and cheating scam was divulged and thereafter, innocent Ankita Bhandari’s gruesome murder took place – entire Uttarakhand is shaken from within, with social media, print and electronics media hype on the top giving no chance to the chief minister and his ministers to speak a word in defence except submitting to people’s pressure and media fulfilling every bit of what is asked for. The central leaders are badly tight lipped, not even the union home minister speaking a word on it.

All the BJP leaders connected with the scam and the murder of Ankita have been expelled from the party to save its skin and and strategies being devised expeditiously to regain the lost ground with Congress party trying to exploit the situation to its advantage, politically.
