Russia may give VISA free facility to Indians visiting Russia from 2025, which China and Iran are availing presently
The bilateral relations between India and Russia have been always very strengthened since the days of Nehru regime further solidified during the tenure of the then Prime minister Indira Gandhi in India and Leonid Brezhnev in USSR with her son Rajiv Gandhi taking them further during the tenure of the then Russian President Gorbachev.
During the Modi era this friendship continued further with prime minister Narendra Modi playing a crucial role as a mediator to bring Russia and Ukraine nearer towards ceasefire though things couldn’t materialise due to the adamant attitude of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the NATO backing Ukranian president Volodymir Zelensky.
Meanwhile according to a report in Hindustan Times the traditional friend of India Russia is going to present to India a GIFT by way of allowing Visa free visits to Russia in the near future, probably from 2025.
The Russian government is believed to be formulating a policy on Visa free visits to Russia for the Indians in the year 2025.
According to a news report of Hindustan Times the Indian tourists willing to visit Russia will be allowed to go there without any VISA as is not the case currently.
In the month of June earlier too, several reports have come that Indian government and its Russian counterpart are seriously thinking and formulating a policy in terms of easing complications to grant VISA to Indian and Russians to visit each other countries.
Some bilateral agreements were also signed between both the countries to ease the complexities to grant VISA n provide relaxations.
Kindly recall that since August 2023 India is eligible for E VISA to visit Russia. Though it takes four days time for the sanction of this E VISA.
According to a report of Indian Express India had last year made a special place for being the country with maximum E VISA seekers visiting Russia among the five leading countries of the globe.
About 9500 Indians were accorded the E- VISA last year. The majority of the Indians visiting Russia go for business purposes.
In the year 2023 about 60 thousand Indians have visited Moscow which was 26 percent more than the previous year.
Among the Non CIS countries visiting Russia frequently , India is the third nation.
In the first quarter of 2024 the Russian Embassy had sanctioned 1700 VISAs to Indians.
Till now Russia is giving Iran and China free VISA facility to Visit there.
Now considering India its traditional friend Russian President Vladimir Putin is thinking seriously to give this VISA free facility to the Indians intending to visit Russia reveals the news report of HT.
The USA is feeling jealous about this possible gift to Indians as the former governor of California, USA Nikki Haley said that India don’t have trust in US leadership . She meant in Joe Biden when he was US president.
