After two of the former ministers of previous Maharashtra government led by Udhav Thakrey going behind bars on very serious charges, the right hand man of the former Maharashtra CM Udhav Thakrey and Rajya Sabha MP vociferous, considered to be the trouble shooter of Shiv Sena Sanjay Raut has been arrested today on money laundering charges by Enforcement Directorate with regard to a housing Project of Patra Chawl in Mumbai. The executive editor of the mouth piece of Shiv Sena “Saamna”, a marathi daily and Rajya, Sabha MP, considered to be the most trusted man of Udhav Thakrey, Sanjay Raut has been remanded to judicial custody till August 4. Meanwhile, the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi who himself was interrogated for 50 to 55 hours during his five day hearing at ED office and thereafter his mother Sonia Gandhi for three days today tweeted when Sanjay Raut was arrested in a money laundering case. Rahul tweeted in hindi : The message of the king is clear – whoever will speak against me would be in problems. Abundant efforts are on – to break the courage of the opponents and shut the voice of truth by misusing the government agencies. Rahul Gandhi also castigated the govt by mentioning about the high quantam of drugs confiscated at Mundra Port in Gujarat. This port is owned by top industrialist Mr. Adani. He wrote : the following drugs were unearthed at Mundra Port : September 1, 3000 kgs worth Rs. 21000 crores, May 22, 56 kg worth Rs 500 crores and July 22, 75 kgs worth 375 crores. He questioned who are those sitting in government who are giving patronage to the liquor and drugs mafia ? Why are the youths of Gujrat being pushed towards addiction of drugs ? He further questioned in another tweet : How is it that after three times massive drug haul, the drugs consignment are still being found? Has the law and order system failed in Gujarat? Apart from Rahul Gandhi the former Maharashtra CM Udhav Thakrey today slammed the Bhartiya Janata Party over the arbitrary arrest of Sanjay Raut by ED in the money laundering case hailing Sanjay Raut as a tru Shiv Sainik who has always been vocal against BJP and never succumbed to the ruling party’s pressure. The former Maharashtra CM accused the BJP led NDA government of misusing the government agencies targetting its opponents and finishing the regional parties saying further that the BJP has been fully exposed of its evil designs as the BJP chief has publicly asserted that they do not want other political parties to exist in the country in order to impose dictatorship said the former CM Udhav Thakrey. According to the news pouring in the Shiv Sena leader and MP Sanjay Raut had allegedly got Rs 1 crore as the proceeds of the crime in connection with the housing project of Patra Chawl and also allegedly receiving Rs 2 lakhs every month from Pravin Raut for few years. According to the latest news Pravin Raut who has already been charge sheeted acted as a proxy of Sanjay Raut and liased with authorities for obtaining clearances n permission etc for the construction project. There are charges of alleged payment of Rs 1.06 crores to Raut and his family, denied by him. There are reports that the MP Shiv Sena has been allowed for home made food consumption including presence of his lawyer at ED.
