RS MP Anil Baluni becomes Uttarakhand BPJ’s trouble shooter
While the main opposition party of Uttarakhand Congress and a new entrant Aam Admi Party are leaving no stone unturned to ensure their respective victories in the state elections scheduled for 2022, by gearing themselves thorough Parivartan Yatra and announcing freebies, the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party and its chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami too is busy making several announcements worth projects of several thousand crores of Rupees despite the state overburdened under heavy fiscal deficit if Rs 65 thousand crores.
A recent survey of ABP news channel giving BJP an upper hand of forming it’s government next time too has further enhanced the morale of BJP though the Congress party has outrightly rejected this ABP survey terming it a planted survey, and nothing else.
However, extremely active in the ongoing Congress pre election campaign, the parivartan Yatra led by the veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat and state Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal is drawing massive crowds of enthusiastic Congress supporters and general public, badly annoyed with the lacklustre functioning of the BJP government wanting to change the present ruling political dispensation that changed three CMs during its rule on 4.5 years.
Meanwhile, the national media incharge of BJP media and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni has been assigned the responsibility by the national party chief Jagat Prakash Nadda to strengthen the party cadre in Uttarakhand and bring the disenchanted leaders and lawmakers of opposition parties into its fold to add political grace and energy in the party’s, rank and file to strongly and effectively counter the enhancing political clout of Congress under the leadership of former CM Harish Rawat.
It is believed that the recent joining of the former minister during Congress rule under Vijay Bahuguna n Harish Rawat and independent MLA from Dhanaulty was the result of Anil Baluni’s efforts and further manipulations are continuing to allegedly bring the Purola, Tehri Garhwal MLA Rajkumar in BJP, reveal sources. However, resentment by a BJP MLA from Dharampura, Dehradun is also doing the rounds in media with speculations of several BJP leaders n lawmakers who’d joined it from Congress turning rebels earlier are likely to join Congress. The Congress party has formed a committee to expedite their intake in the party said sources.
It may be recalled that the prospective candidate for the chief minister’s post, in case AAP forms its government in Uttarakhand, colonel Ajay Kothiyal had just two days ago made a startling revelation about prevailing corruption in the appointments of the security contractual guards in the department of Women and child welfare, govt of Uttarakhand bringing the ruling BJP on the back foot.
Colonel Ajay Kothiyal famous for carrying out the reconstruction and rehabilitation works in Kedarnath after the 2013 ecological disaster, had protested outside the Vidhansabha Sabha bhawan at Dehradun revealing about his appointment in the department of social welfare, women and child, as a guard after paying an illegal gratification of Rs 25000 to an NGO connected with a private firm executing the said appointments. The elections in Uttarakhand are likely to be held in the month of March/ April 2022.
