Rs 45 lakhs compensation to the bereaved families of the dead, 10 lakh to injured, a govt job to next of the kin, high level judicial probe and FIR against son of the minister n culprits etc
The Uttar Pradesh government has agreed to all the demands of Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikaith after a decision was reached between the Samyukta Kisaan Morcha led by Rakesh Tikaith and the the Uttar Pradesh high level government officers.
According to the latest news the Additional Director General of Police Prashant Kumar who was a significant part of the five rounds of negotiation with Kisan leader Rakesh Tikaith n his team, all the demands have been accepted that include Rs 45 lakh as monetary compensation to the deceased farmers, Rs ten lakhs to those injured, government job to next of the kin as per their qualification and feasibility, and registration of FIR against the culprits under 302, 120 B and high level judicial probe in the case.
Apart from ADG police those involved in the negotiations were Additional chief secretary agriculture Devesh Chaturvedi, IG Police, Lucknow, Lakshmi Singh and ADG Lucknow, S.N.Sabat.
While addressing the press conference Rakesh Tikaith said that all their demands have been accepted. He accused the ruling party of strategically orchestrating the attack on farmers hatching a conspiracy against them.
On being questioned regarding the demands he said that they have asked for monetary compensation of Rs one crore each to those who’d been killed including good compensation to those injured, a government job to next of the kin, dismissal of the union minister, n high level judicial probe in the entire episode and registration of FIR under section 302 and 120 B.
Rakesh Tikaith catagorically said that there is no doubt that pressure will be applied from various quarters to influence the probe, therefore dismissal of the culprit’s father should be done forthwith.
Meanwhile while Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has been arrested at Sitapur inviting tremendous protests n volunteer arrests in several states of the country including candle marches n burning if effigies, the Punjab’s deputy CM was also arrested.
The Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi will also visit Lakhimpur Kheeri tomorrow said sources.
However, section 144 CRPC have been imposed in Lakhimpur Kheeri and the adjoining areas.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav had also been arrested today and Madhya Pradesh CM Bhupesh Singh Baghel not granted permission to land at Lucknow airport.
