ROHINI KAUTHIG AT SECTOR 6, ROHINI WAS A GRAND SUCCESS WITH THE PRESENCE OF HUNDREDS OF AUDIENCE

A grand Kauthig event was organised at Sector 6, Rohini , Delhi yesterday from 3.30 till nine in the evening where renowned singers of Uttarakhand viz. Inder Arya, Shiv Dutt Pant, Gajendra Rana, Pannu Gusain presented their mesmerising songs with folk artists in multi colour traditional Pahadi attire dancing to the melodious voice and music of reputed musicians.
The songs were so melodious and mesmerising that girls, boys, even senior citizens and women from the audience danced on Uttarakhandi traditional songs and enjoyed to the hilt. The enthusiastic crowd danced for hours together enjoying the the core most of them being the young boys and girls of Uttarakhand origin. The Lawmaker from Rithala, Kulwant Rana, Dharamveer – Councillor, K.S.Bisht entrepreneur, Puran Kandpal, eminent literaturer and author and social activist, Sunil Negi Journalist, editor UKnationnews, several other prominent personalities from Uttarakhand were felicitated on this occassion. The president of the organisation Harish Bhatt and social activist N.D.Lakhera said that the the main attraction of the Kauthig event were Diety Nanda Devi’s Doli, food court, ( the traditional delicious food items of Uttarakhand), the exhibition of traditional Uttarakhand’s attire, Uttarakhand’s organic pulses, Uttarakhand’s traditional jewellery etc. Proper stalls were erected for the sale of these items on reasonable prices.
Hundreds of enthusiastic Uttarakhadies from Rohini and different parts of Delhi participated in this mesmerising event full of vigour and vitality and danced to the melodious sings and adorable tunes.
The renowned social activist Narayan Dutt Lakhera and K.S.Bisht , leading entrepreneur and social leader , Puran Kandpal , eminent literaturer and author of several books including the lawmaker of Rithala Kulwant Rana and Dharamveer Councillor including Sunil Negi, journalist and editor UKnationnews were felicitated presenting them the fascinating photos of Uttarakhand’s historic religious destinations and a shawl each.
The event was cumulatively organised by Harish Bhatt, Manohar Adhikari,Bhaskar Papnai, Lalit Mishra,Nand Kishore Sati, Kundan Singh Bisht,Rohit Singh Kathaith, Paramvir Singh,Yogendra Rawat, Arvind Rawat including the Advisory board members viz Rajendra Prasad Pant, Devendra Singh Bisht, Kushal Singh Dobhal, Bahadur Singh Kuarbi etc.
Those who played their special contributory role for the success of the event were : Sandeep Rawat,Vinod Maliwal, Deepak Joshi, Kishan Pant, Sandeep Bhatt, Lakshman Singh Negi, Dayal Singh Adhikari, Manish Mathpal, Ramesh Bhoj, Rajesh Rathaur, and Ramesh Dutt Bhatt. The patron of the Uttarakhand Yuva Manch, Rohini are Girish Chandra Pandey and National Convenor Sanjay Pandey. Such events reflecting the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand are indeed significant acquainting the new generation of our cultural values and enriched ancient traditions to connect the new generation with our ancient traditional heritage which is gradually diminishing.
