Review petition filed in Supreme Court on Monday against the acquittal of the 3 culprits of Chawla gang rape cum murder Nirbhaya of Najafgarh case !
A legal team formulated by Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha after the acquittal of the rapists and murderers of Kiran Negi by the honourable supreme Court, has filed a review petition in Supreme Court on Monday, 6 th November. It is now solely the prerogative of the learned judges of Supreme to accept or reject it.
The review petition has been filed by the legal team led by Sandeep Sharma senior advocate of the Supreme and High Court and secretary of Delhi High Court Bar Association.
It may be recalled that in a meeting convened by Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha at Garhwal Bhawan last month, it was unanimously decided to file a review petition against the honourable Supreme Court judgement within a month’s time as the decision of the apex Court acquitting the three obnoxious culprits of the brutal murder and gang rape of 19 year old Nirbhaya of Najafgarh have shaken the traumatised parents and people of Uttarakhand in particular from inside. The people present in the meeting at Garhwal Bhawan had given their unanimous consent to Sandeep Sharma, secretary of High Court bar Association their total unanimity to file the review petition.
There had been unaccounted number of vociferous protest demonstrations and candle marches in Delhi and NCR including in Uttarakhand.
The parents of the Nirbhaya of Najafgarh and the Administration of Vasant Vihar obnoxious n shameful gang rape n subsequent brutal murder inside a running bus in Vasant Vihar in 2012 were also present in Supreme Court at the time of the filing of the review petition today.
The parents had also met the Lt. Governor of Delhi Mr. Vinay Kumar Saxena weeks ago and were assured by him that the government is also filing its review petition in this regard.
The Nirbhaya of Chawla gang rape who was subsequently murdered by three persons after being abducted on 9 th February, 2012 was taken to the precincts of Rodhai village in a red indica car in Haryana and brutally killed after gang rape with her highly mutilated body found after three days.
The culprits after being brought to justice were sentenced to death by the Dwarka Sessions Court and thereafter the Delhi High Court too had upheld the judgement terming them as human blood hounds in the rarest of rare catagory.
The culprits went to Supreme Court for relief and after ten years of prolonged hearings the Supreme Court acquitted all the three culprits scot free blaming the Delhi Police for its patchy and loop holes oriented investigations.
The truth will prevail the Justice in this heinous fraud.
