Retired Major General and vice president of AAP IN UTTARAKHAND joins Congress party. Jolt to AAP
The AAM AADMI PARTY in Uttarakhand suffered a setback today when its senior vice president, retired Major General C. K. Jakhmola joined Congress party in Dehradun.
He was welcomed by the Uttarkhand Congress central observer and Incharge Devendra Yadav and Professor Gaurav Ballav, the spokesman of All India Congress Committee.
Major General C. K. Jakhmola who was not given any political attention in AAM ADMI Party despite his distinguished Army career and passion for serving the party and the people of Uttarakhand, has joined Congress party after several leaders leaving it viz Mr. Jugran and journalist Ashutosh Negi etc. Few days ago he had openly castigated its leaders and party in his social media post unambiguously indicating that he may leave the party in the near future.
Those present on this ocassion were Mathura Prasad Joshi, state organising secretary, media chief of the party in Dehradun, Rajiv Maharishi and spokesperson Garima Dasauni.
Addressing the media on this ocassion, the spokesman of AICC professor Gaurav Ballav has, while welcoming retired major general C. K. Jakhmola in Congress accused Bhartiya Janata Party government of literally doing nothing to provide employment to the youth in the state and serving the interest of illegal miners ( Khanan Mafia) busy in illegally extracting natural resources on a vast scale at the state’s expense.
He criticised the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for allegedly protecting the illegal miners in the state making them economically healthier thus making massive loss to the state’s exchequer.
Professor Ballav while presenting the statistics of the year 2018 onwards categorically revealed that the state is going into losses but the illegal miners are earning handsomely thus the double engine government has become defunct said Congress leader professor Ballav.
Accusing the government for allegedly alloting tenders of “Khanan Pattas”, in the name of levelling of the roads without tenders for which even court lashed out at the state govt terming it as unconstitutional, Congress leader Professor Ballav said that the state of affairs in Uttarakhand are highly deplorable.
The Uttarakhand Congress incharge and secretary of AICC Devendra Yadav also blamed the CM for encouraging illegal mining in Uttarakhand and even sparing his PRO Nandan Singh Bisht despite his supporting openly the Khanan Mafias by writing to the police to release their dumpers n vehicle involved in the arbitrary illegal mining confiscated by the state Police while raiding them.
He added that not only this but the BJP workers had accused their own minister Yatishwaranand for his unholy involvement in illegal mining. And in Lohaghat when an SDM has taken action against the illegal mining Mafias, he was arbitrarily transferred said Devendra Yadav.
He added that Mining is the main source of income of Uttarakhand government and assured that after the Congress returns to power we will close the illegal mining and give employment to youths through legal mining.
Retired Major General n Vice president of AAP is a Kotdwar resident and would be campaigning for Congress heavyweight and former minister Surendra Negi extending his open support to the Congress candidate.
I am at a great loss to note that, in present day politics there is no sanctity of personal & individual political party. Shifting from one part to another has become the order of the day. No sane Indian will ever approve of this.
Why should this happen in election time only?
In case of of ideological difference why shouldn’t it happen at other time?
