Repeated incidents of the attacks by Kaanwadiyas on private properties like vans, vehicles , shops and hotels are coming in surreptitiously though the police are definitely doing their job of arresting them.
However, despite these arrests and lodging of FIRs there doesn’t seem to be any respite in lessening of these violent incidents.
This is indeed a very disturbing and chaotic trend with the police also not able to immediately react apprehensive of the reprisal or the religious backlash etc.
These incidents of Kanwadiya attacks in Western UP and Garhwal region especially in Haridwar are on an uncontrollable increase.
Just a few days ago three cars including a Scorpio of a Patwari were badly damaged with Lathis not only repeatedly hitting the vehicles mercilessly but also smashing its all the window panes.
Just a day before in Haridwar a spectacles’ shop was fully damaged by four persons leading to the loss of lakhs of rupees.
In the above cases the Patwari and the shopkeepers including other occupants of the cats had to run away to protect themselves from these hoodlums under the guise of being Kaanwadiyas, the so-called Shiv Bhakts.
The police have arrested them but after some time these hooligans get bail and the situation comes to square one.
Earlier to these incidents the police have arrested several hooligans thrashing tourists and pilgrims on roads of Garhwal, Uttarakhand with several videos going viral including few Sikhs in Blue attire waving swords and running after some persons in an attacking mode.
A hooka group with crates of beer and a dozen Hookas were also caught on the bank of Ganges with folding chairs vitiating the atmosphere by semi nakedly taking baths and merry making acts.
No family could even go near the river banks in such a situation fearing reprisals from such people. There had also been acts of youths under intoxication running their car over other people in the feat of anger in open public glare with its video also going viral.
Uttarakhand is near to Delhi, NCR, Haryana and Western UP and lots of young tourists come here on weekends to enjoy bringing Hookas, beer and whisky crates and lathis including allegedly arms for protection and then threaten the tourists n pilgrims.
Now this vandalism has reached Meerut too where a group of Kanwariyas have in broad daylight damaged a school bus breaking all its window pains with lathis least worried of the law and order and registration of FIR.
In another case the police are seen parading three such hoodlums on roads of a township after they damaged a shop of Prasad at Shyam Khaatu temple. This really seems to be a Kalyug.
