BJP leader Sachidanand Pokhariyal turns hostile. Files papers as independent from Sahibabaad

The senior leader of Bhartiya Janata Party from Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh and former state minister in Uttarakhand having been associated with Bhartiya Janata Party for the last three decades Sachidanand Pokhariyal has today expressed his anger and exasperation for not giving him the party ticket, finalising the ticket of the BJP sitting lawmaker Sunil Kumar Sharma. He turned hostile filing His papers as an independent candidate from Sahibabad assembly constituency.

His followers protested against this unjustifiable decision of the party accusing the state leadership of giving ticket to the sitting lawmaker who is unpopular in his constituency and likely to lose the election. He said that the ticket has been given against the wishes of the party workers and local electorates doing injustice with dedicated workers and leaders who had been with the party during its thick and thin and incessantly working with immense dedication for the party.

In order to register his protest against the wrong decision of the party belying the expectations of the local populace and the committed party workers, Sachidanand Pokhariyal decided to contest as an independent candidate against the official BJP candidate Sunil Kumar Sharma, MLA.

He openly warned the party leaders of sidelining the dedicated party workers n leaders who have given their entire lives for the party with immense dedication and commitment.

The time has come to prove their worth he added.

Sachidanand Sharma extremely popular among the people in Sahibabad constituency especially among the electorates of Uttarakhand as well has recently organised a successful KAUTHIG programme at Vaishali attended by thousands of Uttarakhandies n people of other communities. He had also been extremely active in separate Uttarakhand movement during the nineties.

This three day socio cultural event ” KAUTHIG’, was a grand success. Adressing a press conference Sachidanand Sharma said that after 10 th February the party will come to know about the results when he will win this seat with flying colours with the support of the cross section of the people who are solidly standing behind him, supporting his candidature tooth and nail.

Sachidanand Sharma ( Pokhriyal) has appealed to his supporters, friends and electorates of the constituency to support him extensively and treat the BJP leaders a strong lesson for their arbitrary decision to sideline and betray the committed and dedicated BJP workers n leaders giving ticket to those who have done nothing in Sahibabad for their welfare and well-being.

He was addressing a press conference on Monday in Sahibabad. It may be recalled that BJP leader Sachidanand Sharma had in 2009 whole heartedly campaigned for Rajnath Singh in Ghaziabad and organised his election as a result of which he was made the state minister in Uttarakhand government. He had been tirelessly and dedicatedly associated with BJP for the last three decades and is a well know leader of Sahibabad having also been the chief of the Uttaranchal Prakosht of Delhi state.

It may be recalled that BJP minister and rebel alongwith with two other ministers n several MLAs have recently joined Samajwadi party recently due to the apprehension of losing tickets this time creating quite an uproar in UP BJP with several MLAs of Congress also joining the saffron party. In Uttarakhand too two MLAs n cabinet minister Yashpal Arya and his son Sanjeev Arya have joined Congress with Sarita Arya chief of Uttarakhand Mahila Congress n two office bearers Rekha Gupta and Vandana joining BJP. A cabinet minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat has also been expelled from BJP likely to join Congress today.
