There are reports that former Trinamool Congress leader and one time close confident of TMC chief n West Bengal chief minister who had defected to Bhartiya Janata Party may rejoin TMC today. He is reported to be meeting the TMC chief n West Bengal CM Mamta Bannerjee this afternoon at 3 PM n formally join the his original party expressing full faith in Mamta Deedi’s leadership say news reports. This change of heart after the dashing victory of Mamta Bannerjee in the recently held assembly elections in West Bengal have surprised one n all in West Bengal especially in BJP circles. Former union Railway minister and Rajya Sabha MP of TMC party Mukul Roy is currently the MLA from Krishna Nagar Uttar won on BJP ticket in the recently concluded elections. The 32 Nd former Railway minister had joined BJP on 3rd November, 2017, saying that he felt proud of working under the prime minister Narendra Modi. He resigned from his Rajya Sabha seat to join the BJP after leaving TMC from where he was expelled for six years. A two term Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Ray’s name had appeared in the infamous Sardar Scam and was under the lens of CBI. He was also in the sting of Narada, in which TMC leaders were involved. There are tremendous possibilities of Mukul Roy joining TMC this afternoon at three PM say confirmed news reports.
