Rawat’s supporters launch ” SAARA UTTARAKHAND HARDA KE SANG”, campaign to project him future CM despite high Command not declaring any CM face
On the one hand the prime minister Narendra Modi and entire BJP high command has already declared the present chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami as the leader of the ongoing BJP election campaign lauding him publicly in a massive rally for his capacious leadership declaring him the future CM of the state as well, the Congress High Command has till now not declared its prospective CM making absolutely clear that the party will contest the election under the cumulative leadership obviously indicating that however strong, influential or senior Rawat may be but officially he is not the declared CM face of the party.
However, former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat has by his actions and resigning from the heavy responsibility as national general secretary AICC and as Punjab’s incharge made it ambiguously and amply confirmed that becoming the Uttarakhand CM is his prime and foremost wish, which can’t be compromised at any cost.
And this is why he brought his own protege Ganesh Godiyal, as the state party chief in place of his strong rival Pritam Singh and himself became the chief of the state’s campaign committee so that he could be the public face and subsequently the state CM if the Congress wins in the ensuing elections securing a comfortable majority.
These days Rawat is extremely busy in Uttarakhand leving no stone unturned to reach every district and block of the state addressing as much as public and corner meetings he could in addition to his alertness in social media posting each and every picture of his, in action, with impressive tweets drawing the attention of the print n electronics media acknowledging good publicity as well.
Rawat’s increasing compatibility and his dynamism even at the age of 72 is worth appreciating say political analysts compelling the prime minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah and national BJP chief J. P. Nadda visit Uttarakhand before any national leader like Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka could visit and address massive public meetings accusing him of appeasement of Muslims etc. However, there are reports that Rahul Gandhi is visiting Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 16 th November to adress a public meeting.
However, despite the Congress high command not declaring the CM candidate in Uttarakhand despite best efforts of Harish Rawat, his committed team is busy projecting him the next CM of the state. On Monday his protagonists launched a campaign namely ” SAARA UTTARAKHAND HARDA KE SANNG” ( ENTIRE UTTARAKHAND WITH HARDA ( ELDER BROTHER HARISH RAWAT).
They also launched a website and a toll free number to connect with him. They are also trying to bring forth the Harish Rawat’s Uttarakhand development model as compared to the failed development of the state under the BJP rule. This unambiguously shows that his supporters spread over the entire state are projecting him as the next Uttarakhand CM to impress upon the central leadership to finally bow down and declare his name officially.
But in view of the ongoing factionalism in the party the Congress high command is, apprehensive that if it do so there will be an explosion in the party compelling Rawat’s detractors join the BJP as happened in 2016 n 2017 when all the senior leaders n 9 MLAs had joined BJP leading to the party’s severe debacle even Harish Rawat as caretaker CM losing from two constituency simultaneously.
His enthusiasm is unparallel. Best wishes
‘सारा उत्तराखण्ड हरदा के संग।’ BJP leaders had reservations against this slogan of Congress.
