The president of India Draupadi Murmu had yesterday watched Anupam Kher’s new movie Tanvi The Great at Rashtrapati Bhawan with all its co stars like Boman Irani, Jaikie Shroff etc and lauded the story, picturization and the beautiful locations. The major part of this film was shot in Lansdowne hill station under the jurisdiction of Pauri Garhwal district near the gateway to Garhwal, Kotdwar. The movie is being premiered on 18 July at the pan India level. The creator of this movie , a leading Bollywood star having acted in 350 or more films Anupam Kher says that he indeed loved the beautiful locations of Lansdowne where he with his entire crew stayed for about fifty five days shooting majority of the serene locations including the headquarter of Garhwal Rifles. He loved Lansdowne as Kher himself lived the major part of his life in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, an awesome hill station. The film has also been exhibited in New York and London and shall be shortly screened at the prestigious Cannes film festival, Paris, France to be attended by several international film dignitaries of Holywood like eminent iconic actor Rober De Neiro etc who were also at the New York premier. The film will also be released at Lansdowne theatre where hardly fresh films are screened.
