Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award changed to Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Rahul Gandhi skips a question on this issue.

Amid tremendous furore in Lok Sabha over the Pegasus spying imbroglio, the prime minister Narendra Modi played a unique Trump card by announcing that the name of prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award has now been changed to Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award inviting boisterous scenes and massive opposition from Congress members of parliament, though former Congress Rahul chief Rahul Gandhi skipped the question by a TV reporter at Jantar Mantar when asked to give his views on this issue. Political analysts say that prime minister Narendra Modi has been successful in blasting the inflated balloon of the cumulative opposition and boisterous scenes of non BJP opposition MPs in Parliament in Pegasus and inflation issues by playing the Trump card of changing the name of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award to Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, considered to be the highest sports award in the country.

Rahul Gandhi, along with several Congress MPs today visited Jantar Mantar to express his solidarity with the agitating farmer leaders demanding withdrawal of the three farm laws terming them a black laws.

Rahul Gandhi participated in the Panchayat of the farmers at Jantar Mantar where the political leaders were not allowed to address them.

They seated themselves and watched the proceedings of the Kisan Panchayat of Friday.

Speaking to reporters Rahul Gandhi blamed prime minister Narendra Modi of entering the mobile phones of his opponents thus encroaching upon their freedom and privacy guaranteed by our Constitution.

He said that he had come to Jantar Mantar to extend his complete solidarity with the farmers noble cause and said that mere discussions n debates in parliament will not serve their actual purpose but we will have to do something incredible to ensure that these three black laws are revoked at the earliest, come what may.

Kindly recall that on Thursday the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has addressed thousands of protesting Congress activists demanding revocation of the three agricultural laws and earlier reached parliament on bicycles and a tractor, driving them, protesting against skyrocketing inflation n massive rise in prices of petrol, diesal and domestic gas n also expressing solidarity with the agitating farmers.

Meanwhile amid boisterous scenes on Pegasus issue the prime minister Narendra Modi today changed the name of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award to legendary Hockey stalwart Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award while, congratulating the Indian Women Hockey team and other Olympics medal winners in Lok Sabha.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he has been getting many requests from citizens across India to name the Khel Ratna Award after Major Dhyan Chand.

He said respecting their sentiment, the Khel Ratna Award will hereby be called the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.

The Prime Minister further said that Major Dhyan Chand was among India’s foremost sportspersons who brought honour and pride for India. It is fitting that our nation’s highest sporting honour will be named after him.

Iam really v sad n hurt after hearing this news … Rajiv Gandhi n Indira Gandhi both been awarded the most prestigious civilian award Bharat Ratna…Rajiv Gandhi has done numerous planning for the betterment of Indian citizens n both Rajiv n Indira too sacrificed their lives by serving Nation and by changing name they are hurting our feelings for this great leader late Sh.Rajiv Gandhi…Modiji not even supporting n listening Kisaan Andolankari who are on strike more than a year…Every year 20 August observed as Sadbhawna Divas n Iam sure d present govt may now say not to observed Sadbhawna Divas in near future…See how mean are they n their filthy thinking…they should first of all change their thinking n reform themselves 👍🤔🙏

    1. Yes, though every countrymen has high regards n reverence towards legendary Dhyan Chandji, but changing the existing name of a highest sports award which was in the name of former Bharat Ratna, PM’s name Rajiv Gandhi who sacrificed his precious life is something unacceptable. If it is really so necessary , then all the names of stadiums which are in the names of politicians should also be changed to the names of our leading sportsmen irrespective of ideologies. There is a clear cut angle of alleged political rivalry and playing of a Trump card when parliament was witnessing boisterous uproarious scenes, furore and anger of opposition MPs on inflation, Pegasus and farmers agitation at Jantar Mantar as claimed by various news reports.
