Rahul to contest from Amethi and Surjewala pronounces BJP leaders, activists and voters as demons

THE former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will contest in the incoming general election from his traditional constituency Amethi, the Gandhi family stronghold. Rahul Gandhi is currently the Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad, Kerala from where he had won securing massive number of votes while he had lost from Amethi in 2019 general elections against vociferous union minister Smriti Irani. Rahul Gandhi perhaps sensing about his defeat had contested from two constituencies at a time i. e. Amethi and Wayanad. Rahul Gandhi has lost from Amethi with a margin of about 55,120 votes. However, from Wayanad parliamentary constituency Rahul had secured a landslide victory by four lakh votes. The newly appointed Congress chief Ajay Rai made the startling disclosure of Rahul Gandhi contesting from Amethi today. This announcement sets the strong ground for Rahul Gandhi and Smriti Irani fighting from Amethi in 2024 who had always been vociferously attacking each other in parliament and BJP using her against the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha. During the recent Lok Sabha debate on the no – confidence motion in parliament when Rahul Gandhi had given a very fiery speech joining the lower house after 137 days post his disqualification, the Union Minister and Amethi MP Smriti Irani not only strongly and vigorously responded to Rahul Gandhi’s tirade against PM Modi and NDA government but also took the Gandhi scion for a ride on his “Flying kiss”, issue raising hell of a controversy with 15 women BJP MPs meeting the speaker demanding stringent action against Rahul Gandhi. In addition to this announcement Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai also said that if Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi decides to contest against prime minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi constituency committed Congress workers from all over India will throng Varanasi in thousands and work for ensuring her historic victory. Kindly recall that the newly appointed Congress president from UP Ajay Rai had contested against prime minister Narendra Modi in 2014 as, well as in 2019 and lost both the elections. In 2019 , the name of Priyanka Gandhi was being seriously considered against the candidature of PM Modi but was turned down at the last moment giving the ticket to Ajay Rai. Meanwhile, in Kaithal Haryana few days ago the Rajya Sabha MP and all India Congress Madhya Pradesh In charge ( observer) Randeep Singh Surjewala raised lot of controversy by labelling BJP and the voters of the saffron party as demons with a BJP leader approaching the police station urging for registration of FIR against the Congress leader for his derogatory and highly objectionable comments against BJP leaders, activists and the electorates who vote for BJP. He was addressing a Congress rally in Kaithel , Haryana in which he pronounced the BJP leaders, activists and those voting for the saffron party as Rakshas and of demon mindset. The BJP spokesmen Dr. Sambit Patra and Gaurav Bhatia came down heavily on Surjewala saying that Congress is, today a frustrated lot after losing in every fronts.
