Rahul Gandhi to address a rally on 16 December at Dehradun
While prime minister Narendra Modi is visiting Dehradun on 4 th December to address a rally in Dehradun the former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is arriving at the state capital on 16 th December.
According to the vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is primarily coming to address a rally on India’s historic victory over Pakistan and formation of Bangladesh in 1971.
Kindly recall that in 1971, India under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Indira Gandhi had scored victory over Pakistan by creating a new Bangladesh nation led by Shiekh Mujibur Rehman as it’s first prime minister.
Though this rally is connected with liberation and formation of a new country Bangladesh at the behest of India defeating Pakistan in a war when the then prime minister Indira Gandhi was reverentially pronounced as Ma Durga by the then leader of opposition Atal Behari Vajpayee, it would in a way be a formal launch of the election campaign of Congress party said Dhirendra Pratap.
Kindly recall that in Uttarakhand prime minister Narendra Modi has earlier been to Kedarnath in the month of November n on 4 th December he would be officially launching the election campaign of the BJP. The Union home minister Amit Shah and party’s national chief J. P. Nadda had been to Dehradun, Chamoli and Udham Singh Nagar addressing public meetings n inaugurating a governmental project. The Union hone minister had then accused Congress leader Harish Rawat for appeasing the minority community by declaring them a holiday on Friday challenged by Harish Rawat of quitting politics if the BJP leader n home minister could substantiate his charge against him by producing the ordinance issued in this regard.
