Rahul Gandhi taunts journalists at Jammu rally, saying our friends journo don’t help us but friends of others
After paying his obeisance to Godess Vaishno Devi, the former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is on a two day visit to Jammu where he addressed a massive meeting in the presence of several senior Congress leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad, J& K Congress president Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Indian Youth Congress chief Sriniwas BC etc.
Commencing his speech with the slogan of Jai Mata Ki, Rahul Gandhi passed a taunt on journalists addressing them as ” mere Pyare Mitron” and then repeating, adding I am sorry to say that my dear journalist friends do not help us, as our friends but help their friends, indirectly indicating to journalists helping the friends of BJP.
Referring to his Kashmir and Jammu visits Rahul Gandhi said that I intend to visit Ladakh shortly adding that I feel like coming to my home when I visit Jammu and Kashmir.
This state ( union territory) was the first state which has a long allegiance to my family and I feel overwhelmed with joy when I come here said Rahul Gandhi while addressing thousands of people present at the massive rally.
Accusing the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party government of attacking on the brotherhood and harmony of Jammu n Kashmir, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi catagorically said that the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh and BJP is breaking the cultural integrity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Referring to his visit to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, in pious Vaishno Devi Dham three Goddesses viz Durgaji, Lakshmiji and Saraswati are adding to the shrine’s glory. Goddess Durga gives us strength, Lakshmiji fulfils our objectives and Goddess Saraswati accords us knowledge said Rahul Gandhi.
When these three divine powers reside in the country and our houses, the nation progresses. He said in India’s every institution RSS has been infiltrated resulting in degrading the power of Goddess Saraswati.
Accusing the BJP government on demonetization and GST Rahul Gandhi said by imposing these black laws while it has decreased the powers of Ma Shakti through Notebandi and GST, it has weakened the powers of Goddess Lakshmi.
He said the people should pose questions to Bhartiya Janata Party as to why are they denigrating or destroying the powers of Goddess Mother deity.
He questioned what has been done with Jammu, Kashmir? Your mixed culture has been attacked. The emotional binding of brotherhood and affection between various culture have been destroyed. First you have been weakened and then the status of J& K state snatched from you he said.
Assuring the Kashmiri Pundits of his party’s full support, his family being the Kashmiri Pundits, Rahul Gandhi publicly admitted that he is talking of the grievances of Kashmiri Pundits for the very first time assuring them of his and Congress party’s total support.
Reiterating his family’s Kashmiri Pundit origin Rahul Gandhi said that while the Bhartiya Janata Party has betrayed us, we will fully support the Kashmiri Pandit families. He said ne and my family too are Kashmiri Pandits amid cheers from the crowd.
