Rahul Gandhi assures Assam electorates for restoring Article 244 A, Rs. 2000 Grahini Samman every month, 5 lakh jobs, revocation of CAA etc in his vedio message
The Congress president Rahul Gandhi today visited Assam on extensive campaigning as the second phase of voting in 39 constituencies will take place on Thursday. The former president of Congress Rahul Gandhi visited the famous Kamakhya Temple to pay his obiesance and addressed a hugely attended public meeting at Kamrup. He was to address three meetings at Silchar, Haflong and Bokajan on Tuesday due to extremely bad weather. Wearing a Cloth Patta with CAA print having been crossed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted with a vedio giving assurance to the Assam electorates of the five electoral promises made by the Congress party pertaining to giving employment to five lakh people of Assam, Rs 2000 every month as “Nari Samman honorarium” to each and every housewife of the state, free electricity up to 200 units every month, enhancement in the daily wages of Assam tea workers to Rs 365 and revoking the CAA in case the Congress party comes to power in the state. In addition to these five guarantees, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi assured the Assam electorates while appealing them to vote for Congress that his government will ensure that the Article 244 A is not revoked or diluted as being done by the BJP to ensure that the interests of all the indigenous population are fully protected. Rahul Gandhi accused the saffron party of trying to invade into the cultural and traditional rights of the hill people by withdrawing the article 244A. The Congress party govt will restore these rights said Rahul Gandhi assuring them of the five other electoral promises made by the Congress Party. Rahul Gandhi tweeted : I could not reach among you due to the bad n inclement weather, but my as well as Mahajot’s message is unambiguous – We will lead Assam to progress and prosperity by the five point pledges. In another tweet Rahul Gandhi with a photograph doing namaste to the Assam electorates during his padyatra wrote in Hindi : we are with you in the struggle for the honour and progress of Assam.
