Punjab NGO helps in freeing a man of Narayanbagad, Chamoli Garhwal enslaved since the last fifteen years in Punjab

A video is going viral in social media in Uttarakhand after an NGO of Punjab has helped in freeing a youth of Narayanbagad, Chamoli, Garhwal, Uttarakhand from the clutches of a Diary owner who had enslaved him for the last fifteen years.

The man under depression couldn’t meet his parents and family members since the last fifteen years as he wasn’t allowed to move and threatened with dire consequences.

The Uttarakhand MLA from Khanpur, Haridwar Umesh Kumar spoke to the NGO and the SHO of Gondli police station under the jurisdiction of Taran Taran district of Punjab and requested him to send the person back to Uttarakhand to his village under protection safely and ensure that those who has enslaved him for the last fifteen years in the Diary farm under extremely sorry state of affairs are dealt with severely under the strictest sections of the law thanking both the NGO and the SHO. He said if needbe he will speak to the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann who is his close friend. He even said so to the junior staff if the police station when he was refusing to speak to the MLA Umesh Kumar.

However, the SHO later on spoke to him and agreed to do the needful at all costs. The parents of the victim have already reached the police station and the NGO is doing its best to ensure that all the legal formalities are fulfilled and the man send with his parents to his village in Chamoli. The enslaved man was in beard with brownish hair badly terrified longing to go back to his home and meet his family. He was seemingly under depression.

After learning from social media the Pauri Garhwal MP Anil Baluni to wrote on X a lengthy post with a video in Hindi : I found a video on social media that reveals a young man from Narayanbagad (Chamoli), Uttarakhand, has been kept as a bonded laborer for fifteen years by a cowshed owner in some place in Punjab. The gentleman who made the video is talking about freeing the young man and providing him assistance. As soon as this matter came to my attention, I spoke with the Honorable Governor of Punjab, informed them about this incident, and requested that Rajesh be rescued as soon as possible and sent back to his hometown, Narayanbagad, India. The respected Governor ji expressed concern about this issue and assured me that a thorough investigation will be conducted, Rajesh’s location will be tracked promptly, and he will be rescued and sent back to his hometown, Narayanbagad, India. Subsequently, I was also informed by the office of the Honorable Governor ji that instructions have been given to the Director General of Police, Punjab.
