Now all is well in Punjab Congress claims senior Congress leaders at the centre. The elections to the Punjab Assembly are due for February, March in 2022 and it has cost the Congress party dearly, keeping in view the the ongoing crisis between Captain Amrinder Singh and former cricketer Sidhu with news hype denigrating the party’s image. In Rajasthan too, the crisis between the CM Adhik Gehlot and Sachin Pilot is nit during down despite best central efforts.
However, the In charge of Punjab affairs Harish Rawat claims that the ongoing fight between both of them has finally come to an end with the Punjab elections to be fought under the leadership of Captain Amrinder Singh after a formal decision was taken with several rounds of meetings with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and former chief Rahul Gandhi said national Congress general secretary Harish Rawat.
He added that Navjyot Singh Sidhu will be the state president.
Staking his claim though indirectly to be the forthcoming CM of Uttarakhand, raising the demand to declare the prospective CM candidate, Harish Rawat who is also engaged in the Punjab crisis to bring a patch up between two warring VIPs of Congress viz Captain n Sidhu, categorically said that a formal decision has arrived to contest the Punjab Assembly elections projecting Capt Amrinder Singh as the future CM with his bete noire Sidhu to be appointed as the president of Punjab, the posters n banners for which are being erected n pasted in Punjab by jubilant followers of Sidhu terming him as the lion of Punjab.
Meanwhile there are also confirmed news of former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi having met the election strategist Prashant Kishore to rope in his services for the ensuing elections in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh etc.
There were also rumours about Navjyot Singh Sidhu joining Aam Admi Party after the news was announced by Delhi CM and national convenor of AAP Arvind Kejriwal who is today busy in Goa after announcing freebies connected with electricity bills in Uttarakhand and Goa. In Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa the Delhi CM has announced three hundred units of electricity free every months where AAP is contesting in all the assembly seats.
However, the Congress party has refuted, rejected, denied this news saying that it has no credible foundation.
In Uttarakhand too, the two senior state leaders Mathura Prasad Joshi and Jot Singh Bisht considered to be the protagonists of Harish Rawat has criticised the BJP CM of the hilly state Pushkar Singh Dhami on the issue if giving 22 thousand jobs to unemployed youth.
They said that these political gimmicks are nothing but to fool the state electorates who are already aware of the betraying n befooling tactics of the present govt n CM as in the past too number of unaccounted announcements were made but not a single project has take practical shape at the ground level.
They questioned that there are hardly 6 months left with code of conduct to be announced three months before and we ask the CM as to how will he fill these vacancies in merely six months despite the hard fact that the SSC takes minimum four months to fulfil several trivial formalities to at the most give employment on maximum 4000 posts etc.
Yes, freebies are gimics to fool state electrorates.
