The inhuman crime that took place in Kanjhavla -Sultanpuri this morning leaves my head hanging in shame and I am shocked at the appealing insensitivity of the criminals : Delhi LG

Hundreds of socio political activists holding play cards in their hands condemning the gruesome incident of the most horrendous death of a twenty year old girl in Kanjhawla, Sultan purification,outer Delhi district on the early morning hours of 1 st January by five badly drunkards hoodlums, demanding the resignation of the LG of Delhi on moral grounds was held in Delhi. The protestors men and women were raising anti police and anti LG slogans demanding the resignation of Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena on moral grounds and condemned the Delhi police for inaction and negligence. The slogans written on the play cards in Hindi were LS Sir tender your resignation and Delhi had become a Jungle Raj. It may be recalled that on 1st January early morning a naked dead body of a woman was found in Sultanpuri area and as per the news published on the front pages of newspapers about five hoodlums in inebriated condition who all have now been arrested have allegedly hit the girl on scooty and dragged her incessantly for several kilometres finally leaving her badly bruised and limbs broken dead body at Sultanpuri. The girl was the sole earning member of the poor family working as beautician in Wedding parties returning home late night after performing her duty. The heavily drunk hoodlums hit her scooty and her leg got stuck in the cars vehicle further dragging her several kilometres away till she died. It is alleged that the heavily drunk hoodlums had opened the car stereo on full volume not able to sense the tortuous accident that happened with their car. The traumatised mother has strongly protested and accused the drunk boys for first allegedly sexually assaulting her and then committing this crime. However, the dead body of the girl have been sent for post mortem to know the exact cause of this tortuous death. The police has registered cases under ICC sections of negligent death and rash driving. Meanwhile the Delhi Commission for women has sent the notice to Delhi Police and the Delhi Lt. Governor has expressed his serious concern tweeting : The inhuman crime that took place in Kanjhavla -Sultanpuri this morning leaves my head hanging in shame and I am shocked at the appealing insensitivity of the criminals. The accused had been arrested. At present all the aspects are being considered in depth. All possible help will be ensured to the victim’s family. The deceased’s father had already died and her mother was ill. The entire responsibility of the family’s survival was lying on her shoulders. The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival said that he has spoken to the Delhi LG on Khanjawla incident. Requested him to take exemplary action against culprits, strictest sections of IPC should be slapped against them. No leniency should be shown even if they have high political connections. He assured that he will take strong action tweeted Arvind Kejrival. The police authorities have claimed that they have deputed 16000 strong police force to ensure that nothing shameful like this would happened but this tragic incident has undoubtedly exposed the Delhi Police’s tall hollow claims.
