Protest demonstration on Ankita Bhandari case demanding the arrest of the VIP and against the derogatory statement against women by minister Rekha Arya’s husband.
Hundreds of women volunteers led by the Mahila Congress activists holding playcards in their hands on Ankita Bhandari matter as well as the highly derogatory statement of the minister Rekha Arya’s husband against the women community of Bihar today protested in Dehradun raising slogans like : Hang the VIP in Ankita Bhandari brutal murder and sexual assault case and Rekha Arya Chuppi todo etc. The women were extremely infuriated and marched towards the CM’s residence in protest holding playcards in which a poster had a picture of Rekha Arya, Women and Child development minister of Uttarakhand with her mouth taped and slogan written over it REKHA ARYA CHUPPI TODO. On another placard it was written BETI KI HATHYARI BHAJAPA KI SARKAAR. There are umpteen demonstrations taking place in Uttarakhand with regard to the Ankita Bhandari case demanding CBI probe under the monitoring of the Supreme Court or High Court Judges. This happened after the startling revelations about the name of the VIP made by the actress Urmila Suresh Rathore , ex wife of BJP former MLA Suresh Rathore whose audio clip was released in social media by her creating quite a furore and explosion in the media and political circles. On 4 th January there is a massive demonstration on this issue to gherao the chief minister’s house at Dehradun while in Delhi too there are two back to back protest demonstrations in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to demand CBI probe to nab the VIP in Ankita Bhandari case. It may be recalled that the husband of the Women and Child Development minister in Uttarakhand Rekha Arya had a day ago given highly derogatory statement in his speech in Almora that women in Bihar could be easily purchased for Rs. 20-25 thousand and he could facilitate the marriages of Uttarakhand’s youth by buying them from Bihar. This statement’s video went viral is social media inviting tremendous criticism by various political parties and women organisations. Meanwhile in Rudrapur too hundreds of local residents protested demanding impartial CBI probe in Ankita Bhandari case after the startling revelations of the name of the VIP.
