PROF. MANJULA JUGRAN OF HNBG UNIVERSITY BREATHES HER LAST LEAVING ALL IN ANGUISH. OM SHANTI
Octogenerian Professor Manjula Jugran, former Head of the Department ( History) Pauri Garhwal Campus, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University breathed her last yesterday st a super speciality hospital in New Delhi. She left for her heavenly abode after prolonged illness related to old age. According to her younger sister , litterateur and journalist Sushma Jugran Dhyani yesterday : My eldest sister, Professor Manjula Jugran, the backbone of our Jugran family, passed away yesterday, on 13th April, leaving us all in trauma. Despite the best efforts of the doctors at PSRI Hospital in Delhi, she could not be saved. Today she is being given his last farewell at the Ghat of Alaknanda in Srinagar. May God grant Didi a place at His feet and give strength to our family members to bear this unbearable pain for the rest of our lives. The senior journalist and former president of Press Club of India Umakant Lakhera while expressing his deepest condolences on the sad demise of Manjula Didi said that her passing away is a huge loss to the bereaved family and the people of Garhwal Uttarakhand including the academic fraternity and the students of Pauri Campus as well as entire University where she taught for several decades. The Uttarakhand Journalists Forum too expressed its heartfelt condolences on the demise of professor Manjula Deedi praying to Almighty to give solace to the departed souls and place at the feet of Almighty including strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Her passing away is a loss to the academic fraternity of Garhwal , a void difficult to be filled said the president of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum Sunil Negi.
