The shocking incident of the brutal death of 8 farmers in Lakhimpur Khiri allegedly by a vehicle in a convoy of the union state home minister Ajay Mishra Teni, in which his son and others were seated which rammed into a crowd of farmers as being reported in media yesterday has send shock waves across the country with national leaders from Congress and Samajwadi party detained and arrested viz Priyanka Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav at Sitapur.

According to the latest reports while the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has while expressing his deep anguish assured that no culprit would be spared and brought to justice, highly exasperated, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi who has been detained in Sitapur by a strong police force complained in protest that the police officers are misbehaving and forcibly trying to stop them for no fault of us except wanting to meet the bereaved family to wipe their tears. Angered Priyanka Gandhi confronting the policemen trying to physically stop her n the one accompanying her with bad behaviour asked them to show the warrant or orders for their detention or not allowing to go ahead. Similarly the Samajwadi party leader and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has also been arrested. Meanwhile, according to the senior officials of Lakhimpur Khiri, UP, FIR has been registered against the son of the union minister of state for home on various sections of the law.
After the tragic demise of farmers by a vehicle of the minister of state for home’s convoy ramming into the crowd of farmers coming back from the protests showing black flags including by thrashing with lathi blow, the video of which has gone viral etc, entire UP is burning with anti BJP sentiments with entire blame allegedly going against UP CM Yogi Adityanath who had just been relieved of the mysterious murder of veteran chief seer of Allahabad Math n president of Akhara Parishad Acharya Narendra GIRI by recommending the CBI probe.
It may be recalled that the Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab etc are going to polls next year and the present deaths of eight farmers will surely have adverse impact on BJP’s political prospects, especially in farmers dominated states say political analysts. Moreover, the ongoing agitation against three farm laws n enactment of a new law on MSP by Samyukta Kisaan SANGHARSH Sammitte for almost a year with the central government obstinate not to accept their demands with good number of farmers killed by police or rival political parties as in Lakhimpur Khiri or due to ailments or circumstantial pressures etc during the protracted ongoing agitation has further enhanced the possibility of direct confrontation between the farmers and those at the helm of affairs at the centre n in states.
Meanwhile as per the directives of the Kisan Samyukta Morcha farmers in various parts of the country are today protesting outside divisional commissioner s and DMs offices sending message across against Lakhimpur Khiri brutalities in which eight farmers lost their precious lives demanding stringent action against culprits n dismissal of the union state minister of home etc.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor posted a video in which angered Priyanka is arguing with the police who are arbitrarily stopping n manhandling her with a tweet writing : The video of Priyanka Gandhi and Deependra Hooda standing up to police intimidation stirs the blood. Citizens are entitled to know the grounds of their arrest and cannot be manhandled : cops, save that for those who drive over protesting farmers tweeted Shashi Tharoor.

Meanwhile a senior journalist n son of the globally famous environmentalist, recipient of several prestigious awards like Padmavibhushan, livelihood global awards and Jamunalal Bajaj honour Sunderlal Bahuguna, Rajiv Nayan Bahuguna said to UKnationnews that the brave leader Mrs Priyanka Gandhi is who was arrested while going to express solidarity to the cause of tortured farmers and bereaved families of the lynched farmers to wipe their tears seen sweeping the floor of a room where she had been lodged after her arbitrary arrest.
