PRITAM SINGH FACTION’S ASSEMBLY GHERAO RALLY A GRAND SUCCESS IN DEHRADUN !
The rally organised by the former Uttarakhand president Pritam Singh to gherao the state assembly at Dehradun, Uttarakhand on burning issues of the Himalayan state and the country has been extremely successful and thousand of Congress workers and leaders joined the rally led by him. There were 14 Congress lawmakers of Uttarakhand in support of Pritam Singh in this rally.
The successful rally however also reflects the factionalism in Uttarakhand Congress as the factions of the present Congress president Mr. Mahara and former CM Harish Rawat were conspicuous by their absence nor were they invited in this rally reveal sources.
Just a day before while the former opposition leader and state president of Congress party Pritam Singh has held a separate press conference at Assembly secretariat and informed about his rally against the BJP government on issues of corruption, price rise, Ankita Bhandari case, cheating n recruitment scam, deteriorating law n order situation, massive unemployment and CBI enquiry in KIRAN Negi murder n gang rape case etc and assembly gherao, the present Congress president Mr. Mahara has expressed his annoyance over the rally saying that he is completely unaware about it.
Meanwhile the former Congress chief of the state and CM Harish Rawat has also chalked out his separate programme on the event of Bharat Jodo Yatra from 22 nd to 25 th November.
It may be recalled that Uttarakhand Congress is badly faction ridden with all the three leaders , the present Congress state chief Mr. Mahara, former Congress chief Pritam Singh and former CM Harish Rawat choosing their separate paths in the state organising separate rallies, meetings and protest demonstrations. Even in the two political programmes of Devendra Yadav , the state Congress central observer in the recent past – Pritam Singh and his faction has not participated. The proactive Vice President of the state Congress Mr. Dhasmana was seen raising slogans praising Pritam Singh in the rally.
