Prime minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with Army jawans at Navshera Sector
Prime minister Narendra Modi today visited Naushera Sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Deepawali day sharing pleasantries and encouraging the morale of the bravehearts guarding our borders round the clock in extremely challenging environment, especially during the ongoing winter season when the weather goes in minus degrees.
Prime minister Modi has been celebrating Deepawali every year on Indian borders with Army personel and para military forces considered as his family and enhancing their morale lauding their brave efforts and patriotism leaving their families behind even during national festivals in the service of the nation. Prime minister interacted, shook hands, hugged and served them sweets on Deepawali in a jubilant environment.
Addressing the Armymen prime minister Narendra Modi said everyone want to be with their families during festivals like Deepawali and I also feel like celebrating it with my family.
This is the reason I am here with all of you, my family, on Deepawali day. I consider the defence Forces my family and this is why I come to you every year to celebrate Deepawali said prime minister Narendra Modi.
I have come in your midst with the blessings of 130 crores Indians ( Bharatwaasi), not alone, he said. When ever I come to you, I have the same feelings when I am with my family.
When I will go back after meeting you, I will go with new energy, spirit and enthusiasm said prime minister Narendra Modi while addressing the Army personel during his visit at Navshera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said I have been serving for the last 20 years, first in Gujarat and now as prime Minister at the centre, n had always been with you during Deepawali.
I am here with great enthusiasm and will go back with new energy and high spirits. Today every Indian will light a lamp in your honour for your commitment, bravery, patriotism and bounden duty for the nation he said adding that each and every Indian will give you their good wishes and heartiest blessings for your bravery, patriotism and supreme sacrifices while lighting a lamp on Deepawali.
Lauding the mothers who have given birth to these brave hearts prime minister Narendra Modi said that such privilege to serve the nation comes to few only, not to all.
I can see how confident and committed you are to serve our nation under most challenging circumstances in cold and hottest summers in freezing cold and hottest deserts allowing 130 crores of India live a peaceful and comfortable lives.
It is because of your guarding the country’s border that not only our countrymen take a sound sleep but our festivals are also lightened as Diwali festival of lights said Modi.
He said that when I come here I not only bring with me the good wishes of entire Gujarat but of 130 crores countrymen.
He said : India is celebrating the AMRIT MAHOTSAV on completion of 75 years of freedom from colonial rule. The responsibility to safeguard this freedom lies on the head of entire countrymen. When I got down at the pious land of Navshera, I touched it with reverence. The soil of this area is symbolic of the bravery of our Armymen.
The history of Navshera reverberates the brave tales of Indian Army and its brave hearts and tigers of Navshera like Brigadier Mohammed Usman and Naik Jaddunath Singh who gave their supreme sacrifices for the nation fighting the enemy forces bravely till the end.
I salute Lt general R. R. Rane who made the way for the victory of Indian Army said PM Modi.
The prime minister said Navshera sector has witnessed number of infiltration and terror activities in the past month . In the Poonch and Rajouri region, a total of 11 Indian Army troops were killed in anti-terror operations that were carried out against the terrorists who sneaked in from the Pakistan side. Kindly recall that in 2019 too, the prime minister had celebrated the festival with the troops in the same sector.
Speaking about the defence sector prime minister Narendra Modi said out of the total defence budget 65% of the budget is spent on the defence purchase indigenously. He added that about more than two hundred variety of effective weapons will be purchased from within the country which is the commitment of self reliant India. The Arjun Tanks and Tejas Light Combat aircrafts are being manufactured in our country said prime minister. On the day of Vijay Dashmi seven new Defence companies have been dedicated to the nation and our ordinance factories will manufacture modernised defence equipments. He added that modern defence border infrastructure too will enhance and strengthen the infantry military forces. Soon India will be a largest defence equipments exporter said prime minister Narendra Modi.
He expressed his Diwali greetings to the mothers, sisters, the families of armed forces and the jawans lauding their immense bravery and patriotism for the country in extremely challenging circumstances enabling 130 crore Indians to sleep comfortably completely assured of their safety and security with Bharat Mata ki Jai and Jai Hind slogans.
