Pratap Nagar MLA Vikram Singh Negi raises Ankita Bhandari case in Uttarakhand assembly blaming the powers that be, for allegedly putting case in cold storage

While the traumatised parents of late Ankita Bhandari are sitting in indefinite dharna at Srinagar, Garhwal demanding justice for her brutally killed daughter and action against the VIP named by her mother in a video gone viral in social media including incessant harrasment of the senior journalist and activist Ashutosh Negi and his family and that of Avinash Negi’s family members by the police who had come in aid of them to seek justice as a strong prosecuter ( counsel) , the Pratap Nagar, Tehri Garhwal lawmaker Vikram Singh Negi has exhibited courage to raise this issue in the Uttarakhand assembly threadbare in the presence of the treasury benches and the opposition with speaker Rita Khanduri on the chair very attentively hearing to him. According to a video clipping released in social media the Pratap Nagar lawmaker Vikram Singh Negi has categorically raised his voice on this issue unambiguously blaming the ruling political dispensation that the already traumatised family is being further distressed by not giving justice to them and instead the case being delayed / put in cold storage. He said the mother of the deceased has written to the district magistrate Pauri naming a person as a social called VIP but instead of tracing all the call details of the person named as VIP, the complainant is being asked to furnish evidences. , Journalist Ashutosh Negi and editor of Jago Uttarakhand portal and newspaper who has raised this issue and helped the traumatised family, too is being harassed and victimised. All the government advertisements have been stopped to his portal. His wife has been transferred arbitrarily to Pithoragarh under the guise of general elections coming near. This is not done as senior cadre officers are transferred to distant locations during elections not of junior cadre as his wife was transferred vindictively. Similarly the family members of Avinash Negi, another person helping the family to seek justice are being allegedly harassed by the police etc.

Kindly recall that the mother of late Ankita Bhandari has few days ago given a warning to senior police chief ( DGP) that if the harrasment of Asutish Negi, his wife and the family members of Avinash Negi is not stopped she and her husband alongwith other activists will stage and indefinite Dharna. After waiting for few days the parents of late Ankita have started their situation in at Srinagar Garhwal with lot of locals joining them.
