Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun is in the grip of Dengue with hospitals private or government full of patients. Even in colonies and societies that are clean Dengue has infected lot of residents. There have been reports that patients and their near and dear ones are busy arranging blood for the patients whose platelets are coming down abruptly amd those from middle, lower middle class and lowest ebb not able to pay for costly white blood required to enhance the decreasing platelets. According to a latest report the dreaded Dengue has not even soared the VIPs now. In Dehradun the Pratap Nagar, Tehri Garhwal MLA Vikram Singh Negi has been infected by Dengue and is, admitted at Soon government hospital. The Uttarakhand Congress chief Karan Mahara, Vice president Mathura Dutt Joshi today visited the hospital and met him including the doctors Vikram Negi MLA was, admitted after his platelets started coming down due to Dengue. The leader of the opposition Yashpal Arya too met the MLA Negi after learning about his ill health due to Dengue. In a message on X earlier twitter Yashpal Arya, wrote : went to Doon Hospital after learning about the ill health of Vikram Negi, MLA due to Dengue. Praying for his early recovery. The MLA is on oxygen and is being looked after nicely. When Yashpal Arya went there the MLA was sleeping looking frail with oxygen masks fitted. There are reports that in Dehradun Dengue has, spread like anything and the cases are increasing day by day. Just yesterday Anoop Nautiyal a renowned social activist and founder of SDC had tweeted that in Dehradun the Dengue spread is highly sensitive and panicky with his school’s WhatsApp group full of messages for blood arrangements related requests due to the Platelets of patients going down.
