Prasoon Joshi, Padmashree n chairman of CBSC is the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand
The chairman of Central Board of Film Certification, Padmashree, prominent lyricist, screen writer and columnist Prasoon Joshi has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand government. The secretary of Uttarakhand administration Hari Prasad Semwal has issued a notification in this regard after the Uttarakhand governor retired Lt. General Gurmeet Singh accorded his official consent to the proposal.
It may be recalled that renowned lyricist and screen writer Prasoon Joshi who wrote lyrics for popular super hit Bollywood films Gajni, Bhag Milkha Bhag, Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye, Taare Jameen Par, Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 etc primarily hails from Almora, Uttarakhand who wrote first book of prose n poetry at the age of 13.
He won the Best Filmfare Award for Chand Sifarish from the film Fanaa, in 2007, for Maa from Taare Zameen Par etc.
He won National award twice for Taare Zameen Par and Chittagong in 2013.
He wrote column for Nav Bharat Times and was a popular dialogue writer as well. Apart from these achievements he is the CEO of Mc Cann World group India and chairman APAC ( Asia Pacific) a subsidiary of global marketing firm Mcc Cann Erickson.
The CBC chairman Prasoon Joshi while expressing his indebtedness towards Uttarakhand prime minister Narendra Modi and UK CM Pushkar Singh Shame tweeted in Hindi : Hearty gracious thanks to Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Drama, I shall be indebted towards Devbhoomi.
