Petrol and diesel prices increased 21 times between May 4 and June 9. BJP should stop finding opportunity in calamity : Youth Congress chief
New Delhi, June 11, 2021:
Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress today protested at a petrol pump located on Janpath Road against the increasing petrol and diesel prices. The national president of Youth Congress, Srinivas BV , said that during the pandemic, the loot cycle of BJP is not taking the name of stopping. The petrol and diesel prices have increased 21 times between May 4 and June 9, BJP should stop looting the countrymen by creating an opportunity in calamity asserted Youth Congress chief B. V Sriniwas. At a time when international crude oil prices are low, BJP’s ‘opportunity to loot’ is an act of extortion against the countrymen Sai the Youth Congress leader while addressing the processionists.
The National President of Youth Congress, Shri Srinivas BV also reiterated that by increasing the excise duty on petrol and diesel, money is being taken out of the pockets of the countrymen. But this money is not being spent on the development of the country rather on ambitious projects like the Prime Minister’s Central Vista as an extravagant expenditure. The youth Congress chief also said that the reduction in the price of petrol and diesel in the country is done only on election occasions. The BJP’s exploitation starts again as soon as it gets time from the election campaign. He demanded that the BJP should bring relief to the countrymen by stopping their ‘opportunity to loot’ and withdraw the prices of petrol and diesel with immediate effect.
Youth Congress National Media In-charge Rahul Rao said that farmers, youth, labourers, traders and women are suffering due to inflation. The anti-people and anti-national face of RSS and BJP has appeared before the country. The people of the country had chosen PM Modi and his ministers on the promise of ‘Achhe Din’, but unfortunately the BJP government have broken the trust of the people.
National general secretary of Youth Congress Bhaiya Pawar said that the Modi government has no shame, no consideration to grant relief to the poor from skyrocketing inflation, and demanded that the excise duty on petrol and diesel should be reduced and the increased prices should be withdrawn with immediate effect . He further added that if the Petroleum Minister cannot do this, he should resign as soon as possible.
National secretary of Youth Congress Mukesh Kumar said that the government is continuously giving a blow to the people who have been stricken by the lax policies of the central government. In such an odd situation, no government in the world would have committed so many atrocities on its people as the present political dispensation ruling at the centre.
Youth Congress National General Secretary and Delhi In-charge Bhaiya Pawar, Youth Congress National Secretary Mukesh Kumar, Bihar Youth Congress State President Gunjan Patel, and many Youth Congress workers were present in the protest.
Objection by congress youth chief, seems to be visibly relevant. Over the years most of us have been watching the ever rising petrol hikes and opposition crying against the party in power. This hike is an all time high in past 74 years. I wouldn’t know if govt is live on it and tries to control. They should look back when they were not in power and used to protest against the ruling party then. Perhaps, they would find reasons to reverse the petrol hike.
