People of Maharashtra fed up with sabotage politics and alleged buying of MLAs in Rs 50 crores each says former Home minister Anil Deshmukh
The former Maharashtra home minister during the rule of Maha Aghadi government led by former CM Udhav Thakrey and a staunch supporter of NCP patriarch Sharad Pawar today strongly castigated the ruling saffron party accusing them of engineering corruption and defection without naming BJP by allegedly paying defector MLAs about Rs fifty crore each during the previous regime to the Shiv Sena MLAs who have defected to BJP and Eknath Shinde appointed CM arbitrarily sabotaging the democratically elected government of Maha Aghadi consisting of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP MLAs.
Speaking to PTI the former union home minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh said that the people of Maharashtra are badly fed up by the opportunistic defection being engineered by BJP for the last two years demolishing the democratically elected governments.
He said : The people of Maharashtra are fed up with the sabotage politics. Earlier Shiv Sena was sabotaged, Udhav Thakrey’s MLAs were offered Rs. 50 crore. Now, they made an attempt on NCP by taking away our senior leader ( Ajit Pawar)
Meanwhile, the game of opportunist MLAs gone in Ajit Pawar camp and those in Sharad Pawar camp are busy in “Aaya Ram Gaya Ram”, politics in Maharashtra.
Today a third MLA namely from Maharashtra’s Satara district – Wai who had gone with Ajit Pawar appointed as deputy CM has now returned back to Sharad Pawar camp with hundreds of followers.
His name is Markand Jadhav- Patil who had joined Ajit Pawar a week ago.
The MLA was convinced to return back by Sharad Pawar after the NCP patriarch had given an open call to defected MLAs to return back unhesitatingly.
Before Markand two lawmakers from Maharashtra Ram Raje Naik – Nimbalkar and Deepak Chauhan who had crossed sides to Ajit Pawar camp had returned back to Sharad Pawar Camp a day after.
It may be recalled that on 2 July the Ajit Pawar camp had defected to BJP Shiv Sena camp extending their support to Eknath Shinde government claiming the support of 40 MLAs.
Ajit Pawar was made the deputy CM and 8 MLAs were sworn in as ministers including former deputy CM of Maharashtra Chagan Bhujbal.
Since then both of the groups are claiming their majority with Ajit Pawar terming him as the real NCP having declared him its chief and approached the Election Commission claiming for its symbol clock and flag etc.
Sharad Pawar had just three days ago reached Delhi met Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders soliciting their wholehearted support and held the national executive meeting of his party in which out of 27 presidents, 22 were physically present with five absentees having conveyed their support in writing.
Sharad Pawar too represented himself to Election Commission claiming to be the real original party with claims for symbol and flag etc.
