PCI ELECTIONS ON 13 TH DECEMBER, SANGEETA BAROOAH PISHROTY PANEL WINING one sidedly

The election to the Press club of India Managing Committee scheduled for 13 December seems to be clearly onesided with the panel led by Sangeeta Barooah Pishroti as president and Afzal Imam as secretary general winning hands down.
Compared to the previous year elections this time the compitition is almost negligible with other few rival candidates to the above panel neither well known nor truly representing the fraternity of working journalists in true sense.
To be precise and honest, the Sangeeta Barooah Pishroti Panel has already won with the main inspiring force behind being the previous president and veteran journalist Gautam Lahiri.
The two candidates in the list of joint secretary P.R.Sunil Kumar and treasurer Aditi Rajput of NDTV have already been declared winner as unopposed.
This victory of the panel led by Sangeeta Barooah Pishroti and Afzal Imam has already written the fate of this channel as having been victorious with landslides votes.
Moreover there is no rival panel as such and the few candidates contesting on various posts are scattered with no credibility to win, as such.
On the other hand the previous managing committee has done tremendous works in the press club with no one as opposition challenging them on any count which unambiguously gives the impression that the members of Press Club of India are not only satisfied with their welfare and development related works of the Press Club of India but are impressed as well as apart from this the PCI has always been at the forefront to stand solidly with the struggling journalists , their every grievance and media related issues.
Moreover the menifesto of the previous team whose panel is currently contesting led by Sangeeta Pishroty is self explanatory.
As usual this time too the chief election officer conducting the PCI elections with his entire team is M.M.C. Sharma who is credited for conducting impartial and transparent elections in the club for decades.

The polling is on 13 th December from 9 morning to 6 in the evening and the candidates and their supporters are busy campaigning for their respective candidates and panel, though there doesn’t seem to be that hectic campaigning which used to be during the previous years, the reason being their is literally no competition with the election looking to be one sided with a handsome victory by Pishroty panel assured.
