PARENTS OF DAMINI OF VASANT VIHAR RUNNING BUS AND NIRBHAYA OF NAZAFGARH WITH OTHERS HOLD CANDLE LIGHT PROTEST DAILY AT DWARKA CHOWK TO DEMAND JUSTICE FOR KIRAN NEGI !
The relentless struggle seeking justice for late Kiran Negi, known as Damini of Najafgarh is still on the sequential mode with the parents of Damini of Vasant Vihar and Nirbhaya of Najafgarh with like minded people are holding daily candle March at a crossing of Akshardham Apartments at Dwarka known as Nirbhaya Chock demanding death to the culprits of late Kiran Negi.
On 9 th November, Friday too a candle March was organised at the said venue with people holding candles and play cards in their hands raising slogans demanding justice for Kiran Negi. The journalist and activist Ashutosh Negi who had for the first time highlighted the concealed case of Anita Bhandari and giled a petition in Uttarakhand High Court had come from Pairing to cover the event n also participate in it.
This candle March protest demonstration from 7 to 8 PM daily is held at the Dwarka Nirbhaya chowk near the Akshardham apartments where the parents of the Damini of Vasant Vihar running bus who was brutally killed after gang rape live. The four culprits of the Damini of Vasant Vihar moving bus have been hanged with one culprit being adolescent having been exonerated after sending him to a reformative child centre.
In today’s candle March the parents of Damini of Vasant Vihar and Damini of Najafgarh were present as usual holding candles in their hands demanding confirmed and early justice for late 19 year old daughter the Nirbhaya of Najafgarh who was obnoxiously gang raped and then brutally killed on 9 th February, 2012 with her dead mutilated body found after three days in the outskirts of Rodhai village in Rewari, Haryana.
All the three convicts who were granted capital punishment by the Dwarka sessions Court and later on upheld by the Delhi High Court have been freed, ( exonerated) by the three judge bench of Supreme Court of India that also included the then chief justice U. U. Lalit.
Since the day of the exoneration of these three dreaded human beasts the selected residents of Akshardham apartments and the parents of both the Families of Vasant Vihar and Najafgarh have been protesting holding candles and play cards in their hands from 7 to 8 PM demanding death to the three culprits since November 7 th. Today being the 34 th Day of candle March protest.
Three review petitions have been filed against the the acquittal orders of the Supreme Court since then and the honourable chief justice of Supreme Court D. Y. Chandrachud had on 8 th December while taking notice of this petition said that he will go through this petition shortly and give his decision whether to accept it or not.
Till then the petitioner father of the deceased daughter Kiran Negi, Kunwar Singh Negi and other petitioners viz Delhi Police and Lok Manch are keeping their fingers crossed.
